    Designed to the highest standard, Ley Cottage provides a unique stay with plenty of opportunities to unwind and socialise with family and friends. Spend days exploring South Devon and evenings soaking in your private hot tub or relaxing beside the cosy wood-burning stove in sumptuous comfort. Should you wish to explore the area, you can enjoy delicious meals at The Ley Arms, scenic walks around Haldon Forest and day trips to Dawlish Warren Beach.

  • The space

    This charming cottage boasts a thoughtful combination of original character and modern décor throughout. Think exposed wooden beams, vibrant pops of colour and textured, hand-painted wallpaper.

    The property begins with an open-plan living room with a three-seater leather sofa and two grand armchairs, each positioned perfectly around the wood-burning stove. Relax here with a glass of wine in hand or retreat to the dining table to savour delicious meals together with the backdrop of enchanting fairy lights and striking antiques. Meanwhile, the kitchen is fully fitted with an electric oven and hob, a kettle, a toaster, a microwave and a fridge/freezer.

    The ground floor is complete with a shower room with a luxurious rainfall shower.

    Upstairs, there are three luxurious bedrooms, each with beautifully carved wooden headboards, antique furniture and high-quality soft furnishings. There are two king-size bedrooms and one double bedroom, plus a family bathroom.

    Outside, you will have access to an enclosed patio with a hot tub, a gazebo and a seating area for alfresco dining on a warm summer’s night.

    Meet at The Ley Arms pub where you will be greeted by the owner and accompanied to the cottage.

  • Sustainability

    If you would like to offset the carbon emissions from your trip, get in touch and we can arrange this for a small fee.

    Check-out: by 10:00

    Deposit: Bookings are subject to a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the booking value plus applicable booking fees with the balance payable 60 days before the date of travel.

    Accidental Damage Deposit: To maintain the highest standards in our properties, guests will need to pay a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £200 prior to their stay. An advance payment as detailed in the booking summary can be made to waive this requirement.

    Book with confidence: If your booking is affected by new Government travel restrictions which were not known at the time of booking, and you are legally unable to travel, we will arrange with the property owner to refund 100% of your holiday cost.

The neighbourhood

The cottage is located in the village of Kenn and is just a stone’s throw away from The Ley Arms pub which offers an exclusive 10% off food and drinks throughout your stay. Enjoy traditional meals and local tipples in front of the warming log burner.

If you’d like to explore the area on foot, there are plenty of walking routes from the doorstep including Haldon Forest which is just 3 miles away. There is also a Go Ape located here if you are feeling adventurous. The cottage is also well-placed for trips to Exe Estuary Trails and Dartmoor National Park.

For days beside the sea, Dawlish Warren Beach is just 6 miles away and offers exciting days out for the whole group to enjoy with its long sandy beach and clear waters. Meanwhile, the seaside resorts of Exmouth and Budleigh Salterton are only a short drive away if you would like to explore further.

The cathedral city of Exeter is only a 20-minute drive away and well worth a visit. There are a wide range of activities to enjoy including family-friendly museums, a trip to the Medieval Underground Passages and a browse around the shops.

Getting around

A car is recommended for travelling to the property and ease of getting around.

There is one parking space outside the cottage or there are allocated parking spaces at The Ley Arms pub.
