The neighbourhood
The apartment is mere footsteps from the Saturday Market Place and is in a prime position for exploring everything that the historic town of King’s Lynn has to offer. The nearest shop, pub and restaurant are no more than a couple of minutes’ walk away and the theatre is not much further. So too is The Quay area and The Walks which is a Grade II listed park that dates back to the 18th century and is well worth a visit.
For fresh air and stunning views, head to the Norfolk coast which is about a 15-minute drive away by car or can be accessed on the local bus service. From here you can visit beautiful beaches, many of which are a haven for waterbirds, including Snettisham, Hunstanton and Brancaster.
Meanwhile, there are plenty of other attractions within driving distance including the English Heritage Site of Castle Rising Castle, the royal Sandringham Estate, Norfolk Lavender, Bircham Windmill and Holkham Hall.
Getting around
If you arrive by car there isn’t any private parking or street parking at the property. However, you are permitted to park on the single yellow line outside the apartment to drop off your bags, but then you’ll need to park at one of the car parks nearby. Please contact Guest Services for more information. There are 5 car parks all within a couple of minutes’ walk of the apartment, the cheapest of which is Boal Quay.
If you‘d prefer to leave the car at home, the apartment is easily accessible by taxi from King’s Lynn train station which is about 0.4 miles away. Meanwhile, the bus station is about 0.3 miles away and there’s a bus service that runs to the coast. If you’d prefer to explore on foot, there are plenty of guided walks around King’s Lynn, some of which go past the apartment.
