The neighbourhood
The cottage is located in the pretty market town of Malmesbury where you can enjoy strolling through the charming streets and browsing the many boutique shops and weekly farmers market. Bracing walks can be enjoyed along the River Avon which runs along the outskirts of the town and passes the impressive Malmesbruy Abbey along the way.
Feeling adventurous? The Cotswolds Water Park is just 18 minutes away and provides hours of fun for the whole family. Here you can enjoy picturesque cycling routes, scenic strolls, archery, horse riding and so much more.
With an abundance of dining options and boutique shops, Cirencester town centre is a delightful, calm and historic destination to explore. The Open Air Pool is a particularly popular attraction between May and September with two spring water swimming pools and sunbathing patio. It’s also located on the edge of Cirencester Park which is perfect for a family picnic or a stroll.
When it comes to a day out, visiting some of the bigger villages of the Cotswolds is a must. Broadway has a lovely choice of bistros and boutiques, whilst Stow-on-the-Wold and Chipping Campden have great pubs and tea shops, plus are good for finding antiques. Or visit the spa town of Cheltenham for more retail therapy or the Cheltenham races.
Should you wish to venture further, the cottage is around an hour away from Stonehenge, the city of Bath, and the famous thermal pools in Bath Spa, so you'll never run out of things to explore.
