Tigley Cottage is one of eight luxury holiday cottages set in the peaceful grounds of a 14-acre, private, family-owned estate in south Devon. This mid-terrace cottage is decorated in a country-chic style and has an open-plan living area and a great patio that overlooks the playground. It’s ideal for a family and has two bedrooms that can sleep up to 4 guests. Guests of all holiday cottages here have access to luxurious facilities including indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a shared hot tub, a tennis court and children’s play areas. Meanwhile, the location is ideal for trips to Dartmoor National Park, stunning beaches and the waterside towns of Dartmouth and Salcombe.

Take the three steps up to the entrance of this mid-row terraced cottage and enter the light and airy open-plan living/kitchen/dining area that has an impressive vaulted ceiling.

Relax on the comfy sofas for an evening in front of the television and fire up the log burner if it’s a bit chilly. If it’s a warm day, open the French doors to let some fresh air in or step onto the Juliet balcony which offers superb views over the grounds and the Devon hills.

There’s plenty of worktop space in the well-equipped, galley kitchen to prepare snacks and whip up family meals, while the dining table seats up to six people.

From the living area there is a gated staircase to a mezzanine area (with a sofa bed, with extra linen for this available on request) that’s the perfect little den for children to play or adults to read a book in peace. Another gated set of stairs leads down to the bedrooms on the ground floor.

Bedroom one is a compact standard double room (with space for a cot if required) and French doors that lead to the cottage’s patio. Bedroom two is a compact twin room with two single beds.

In addition, by prior arrangement, the sofa on the mezzanine level, which is a sofa bed, can accommodate one extra adult or older child.

There is also a family shower room with a WC, basin and heated towel rail.

Outside there is a patio with a BBQ available to use and a picnic bench from where there are lovely views over the tennis court. Children can venture out of the patio area onto the sweeping lawns and the children’s playground, while parents sit and sip something refreshing.

Parking is available in the general parking area behind the row of cottages.

You’ll also have access to the estate’s 14 acres of beautiful grounds, plus shared on-site facilities. These include an indoor swimming pool, an outdoor swimming pool and hot tub, a tennis court and children’s play areas.

The door to the cottage will be open and the key will be on the table. The owners live at the site and are available during your stay should you need any assistance. The swimming pools, hot tub, tennis court and play areas are shared facilities available to guests of all cottages at the site.

If you'd like to offset the carbon emissions from your trip, get in touch and we can arrange this for a small fee.

Facilities at the site are unattended, so please supervise children at all times.

Deposit: Bookings are subject to a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the booking value plus applicable booking fees with the balance payable 60 days before the date of travel.

Accidental Damage Deposit: To maintain the highest standards in our properties, guests will need to pay a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £500 prior to their stay. An advance payment as detailed in the booking summary can be made to waive the requirement.

Book with confidence: If your booking is affected by new Government travel restrictions which were not known at the time of booking, and you're legally unable to travel, we will arrange with the property owner to refund 100% of your holiday cost.
