Of course – our Guest Services team can make personal property recommendations based on your requirements, including who you are staying with, what type of property you are looking for, destination and even your interests. Our Guest Services team are made up of experienced travel experts that can advise you based on their in-depth knowledge of each property. From cottages for couples to large cottages to celebrate an occasion with family and friends, we can help match you to your perfect place to stay.

When you’re ready to make your booking, you can book online using the ‘Book Now’ button on your chosen property’s page. This will take you to an availability calendar where you can check available dates before making your booking. Online bookings are provisional, and our Guest Services team will contact you to confirm the details. If you prefer a more personal touch, you can contact us by phone or email and we will get in touch with you to make your booking for you.

Some of our property owners have set check-in days to allow for change-overs between guests. However, many of our properties offer flexibility on the arrival day. Please see the availability calendar on the page of the property you are interested in for details, or get in touch with our Guest Services team who will be happy to help you.

We define an infant as up to 18 months and a child as up to 11 years. You can find specific information regarding the property’s child policy under House Rules on each property page. If you would like to discuss further, please get in touch with our Guest Services team.

Many of our properties welcome dogs to stay. You can find them all in our collection of dog-friendly cottages. The dog-friendly properties are marked with a paw print in the search. Since the dog policy varies depending on the property, specific information can be found under House Rules on each property page.

All bookings require a 30-50% deposit at the time of booking with the balance paid no later than 60 days before travel and the deposit plus any booking fees are non-refundable.

Each of our properties operates a cancellation policy which is outlined in the property listing. Our standard cancellation policy allows you to cancel your booking for any reason between 60 and 21 days ahead of check-in and claim back a proportion of the amount paid based on the length of notice you have given us:

21 days notice or less 0% of the accommodation cost

22 – 30 days notice 15% of the accommodation cost

31 – 45 days notice 30% of the accommodation cost

45 – 59 days notice 50% of the accommodation cost

60 days or more any unpaid balances will be waived over and above the deposit amount.

Within 24 hours of making the booking 100% of the accommodation cost.

Luxury Cottages regularly reviews these terms and will continue to review refunds on a case-by-case basis.

All our holiday properties include complimentary WiFi. The type of WiFi varies depending on the property. However, some properties have made a conscious choice not to offer WiFi so that you can enjoy a digital detox. You will find whether a property offers WiFi under the Amenities details on each property.

Yes, we do. There may be an extra charge to use an electric vehicle (EV) charger. If a property has an electric vehicle available to use, this will be highlighted on the property page. You can also filter properties on our Properties page to see which offer EV charging.

For information about the type of EV charging at a specific property, please contact our Guest Services team.

At some cottages with a log burner or wood-fired hot tub a limited supply of logs is included in the price. Sometimes logs incur an additional charge. Please see the House Rules in the property listing for more detail.

All of our properties are luxurious homes that are well-loved and looked after. As a result, owners may take a cautionary deposit to protect from any accidental damage or breakages during your stay.

The security deposit is usually returned in full up to 7 days after checking out. In the event of any deductions from the deposit we will provide you with an itemised bill.

Many properties provide food delivery and/or catering services which can be arranged with our Guest Services team. We provide a highly personalised level of customer service and can also arrange additional services, from bicycle hire and activities to flowers and Champagne on arrival.

Please refer to the property listing in the first instance to find out what additional services are available on-site and locally, then contact our Guest Services team who will be happy to discuss your options. Extra charges will apply for additional services.

Check-in and check-out times are provided so that properties can be cleaned and prepared ahead of guest arrival. Occasionally there will be some flexibility on arrival or departure times so please check your listing in the first instance.

If you anticipate late/early arrival or departure, please let us know as soon as possible by contacting Guest Services. Please note that you may incur charges if you are unduly late to leave the property.

The property owner or manager is usually available during your stay to assist with any queries you may have about the property and local area. For anything else, our Guest Services team are available via phone or online support during office hours. For your total peace of mind, we have an emergency phone line, should anything unforeseeable occur whilst you are away.

We protect the identity of our owner’s homes by providing their property with a unique name on our website. We also restrict access to the exact location of the property on our site for security and privacy purposes.

An approximate location is provided so that you can research what to do in the local area before booking. We always provide a full address and detailed information regarding the property ahead of your date of travel.

Security and privacy are key for all our members, including both owners and guests. As a result, the individual making the booking for any stay must be part of the travelling party.

We may ask for identification documents for the lead guest in order to ensure they are who they say they are. All data regarding members is kept securely under GDPR and protected by data encryption technologies.
