The neighbourhood
The nearest town is picturesque Nantwich which is about a 5-minute drive away. It’s famous for its medieval timbered buildings and offers a choice of places to eat and drink, as well as an array of shops including antique and craft shops.
If you’re looking for a good walk, take a drive of around 15 minutes and join the Sandstone Trail, which stretches for 34 miles from the market town of Frodsham to Whitchurch in Shropshire in its entirety. The trail follows
Cheshire’s Sandstone Ridge and offers spectacular views of the countryside. Or, take a stroll in Delamere Forest which is also home to Go Ape where thrilling adventures in the treetops can be had along rope walkways and zip-wires.
Other attractions nearby include the Oulton Park driving circuit, the Ice Cream Farm which is a big hit with kids, Chester Zoo and The Secret Bunker which was built in the 1950s.
Getting around
There is a bus stop outside the estate where you can catch a bus to Nantwich. Crewe train station is about 15 minutes away with connections to Manchester taking 35 minutes and to London taking 90 minutes, whilst Manchester Airport is about a 45-minute drive away.
