Queen Anne Estate comprises a Georgian manor house, plus eight luxury cottages and suites within a 9-acre country estate in the Vale of Glamorgan. The manor house has seven luxury bedrooms that together sleep up to 16 guests. Meanwhile, the eight self-contained suites and cottages are housed in exquisitely renovated outbuildings and sleep from two to six guests. All accommodation is stylish and individually themed, while the grounds are fantastic for a stroll and offer views of the stunning Heritage Coast. If you can tear yourselves away, days out can be enjoyed at local beaches, the Wales Coastal Path and the historic town of Cowbridge.

Queen Anne Manor

The manor house is perfect for living it up in style. For a special event, the mirrored ballroom can seat up to 40 guests for lunch or dinner, while the garden room offers indoor/outdoor space perfect for a garden party.

Bedrooms are spread over the first and second floors. Some even feature the roof trusses of the 13th century part of the manor, while views vary and include the gardens and the coast.

A romantic suite, accessed via a private staircase, features a silver-leaf, king-size, four-poster bed and an en-suite with a freestanding bath for two and a double walk-in shower.

A sophisticated, oriental-themed bedroom has a king-size bed and a freestanding bath in the room, plus an en-suite with a rainfall shower.

A wood panelled bedroom features an antique, four-poster, super-king-size bed, a TV hidden inside a cabinet, a dressing area and an en-suite bathroom with a rolltop bath.

The manor’s original banqueting hall is a palatial-themed bedroom with a crystal chandelier, a gilded, super-king-size bed, a rolltop bath in the room, a double shower housed within the cabinetry and a separate WC room.

The fifth bedroom is tucked under the eaves and is influenced by 18th century Paris. It features a king-size bed and a freestanding bath in the room, plus a separate WC room (no shower).

The family suite is a relaxed coastal-inspired room with a queen-size bed, cabin-style bunk beds and a seating area. There’s also a double-ended, rolltop bath in the room and a separate wet room with shower and WC.

The room inspired by the Scottish Highlands, features an Elizabethan Gothic half tester double bed and a double-ended bath in the room, plus there’s an en-suite wet room.

The final bedroom is a twin, inspired by the classic colonial style of the iconic Raffles Hotel, Singapore. It features a freestanding bath in the room and an en-suite wet room with a shower and WC.

Hollyhock, Mimosa, Muscari, Fritillaria and Bamboo Cottages

Hollyhock Cottage: Ground-floor suite housed in the original stable block. Features an open-plan living space with kitchen, dining area and a lounge, plus separate bedroom with king-size, sleigh bed and a shower room.

Mimosa Cottage: First-floor suite housed in the original stable block. Features an open-plan living space with kitchen, dining area, lounge and bedroom area with king-size, sleigh bed. An en-suite with rolltop bath and walk-in shower is on a mezzanine level.

Muscari Cottage: Ground-floor, studio apartment housed in the original stable block. Features a king-size, low-level bed, mini kitchen (microwave, 2-ring hob and small fridge) concealed behind a Japanese-style cupboard and an en-suite shower room.

Fritillaria Cottage: Ground-floor, luxury room housed in the estate’s former bakery with vaulted ceiling. Features a king-size bed, desk, two-seat sofa and en-suite shower room with walk-in shower. Tea and coffee facilities (no kitchen).

Bamboo Cottage: Basement level room housed in the estate’s former dairy with vaulted ceiling. Features a king-size bed and bespoke glass door to the en-suite shower room with walk-in shower. Tea and coffee facilities (no kitchen).

Sunflower Cottage

1 Bedroom / 1 Bathroom / 4 Guests

Housed in the original stable block. Perfect for two adults and two children. Features a lounge with two sofas, one which is a sofa bed suitable for two children, a kitchen, a double bedroom with king-size bed and a conservatory/dining room.

Camassia Cottage

2 Bedrooms / 2 Bathrooms / 4 Guests

Set out over two floors in the estate’s former dairy. Features an open-plan living area with lounge, dining area and kitchen. Upstairs there’s a king-size bedroom and en-suite shower room, plus a twin bedroom with private shower room.

Lotus Cottage

3 Bedrooms / 3 Bathrooms / 6 Guests

First floor, apartment-style cottage housed in the original stable block. Features two king-size bedrooms, one with an en-suite shower room and the other with an en-suite, on a mezzanine floor accessed via loft stairs, that has a freestanding bath with shower over. The third bedroom is a twin room on a mezzanine floor accessed via loft stairs with an en-suite shower room.

Outdoor space

The estate’s 9 acres of gardens and grounds include lawns and a walled garden, as well as a folly and are perfect for a quiet stroll, a picnic or admiring the sunset over the sea in the distance. You will also have access to a separate shared laundry room.

The house manager will greet you on arrival and show you into the property.

The estate grounds and gardens are communal areas that are available to guests of the manor house and all the apartments and cottages at the site.

We plant a tree for every booking we make to help offset some of the carbon emissions generated by our stays.

Guests have free access to the EV charger.

Deposit: Bookings are subject to a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the booking value plus applicable booking fees with the balance payable 60 days before the date of travel.

Accidental Damage Deposit: To maintain the highest standards in our properties, guests will need to pay a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £300 prior to their stay. An advance payment as detailed in the booking summary can be made to waive this requirement.

The neighbourhood

The estate has nine acres of grounds. You are welcome to take a walk, explore and ‘meet’ the resident alpacas, sheep, chickens and ducks.

Situated in the Vale of Glamorgan, the property is close to some fantastic walks around the countryside and along the Wales Coastal Path. Begin with a short walk from the property to the pebbly beach of Limpert Bay where there are spectacular views across the Bristol Channel to Exmoor and Minehead, and you can begin the Vale Trail 4 Park and seaside walks.
