The neighbourhood
The cottage is in a peaceful and picturesque hamlet, just outside St Davids. There are many beautiful beaches in the area including Blue Flag Whitesands Beach where you can spend relaxing days strolling along the sandy stretch or trying a new activity such as surfing or coasteering.
St Davids, the smallest city in Britain, is just 1 mile away from the cottage and well worth a visit. Days can be spent visiting St Davids Cathedral where you can learn about the history of St Davids, view the Treasury collection and enjoy delicious food at the restaurant. Boat trips to the islands of Ramsey, Grassholm, Skomer and Skokholm are also available with a chance to catch a glimpse of porpoises, dolphins and whales if you’re lucky.
Solva Harbour is also worth a visit with its delightful shops, cafes and galleries or if it's bracing walks you're looking for, Pembrokeshire Coast Path provides miles of spectacular scenery along the rugged coastline with views that will take your breath away.
There are many restaurants in the area, most being a short drive from the cottage including The Shed Bistro in Porthgain, just 12 minutes away. Here, you can enjoy fresh, local fish and chips, homemade cakes, coffee and more.
A little further is the ever-popular Blue Flag Newgale Beach. This huge stretch of golden sand offers exciting walks through caves, kitesurfing, canoeing and surfing lessons. There is also a shop, café and pub if you want to grab a bite to eat or some handy supplies.
