If you fancy exploring the area, there are lots of picturesque walks nearby, or you can head to Belvoir Estate for a tour of Belvoir Castle, a spot of retail therapy or a bite to eat.

The cottage is filled to the brim with elegant antiques and homely touches, beginning with the country-style kitchen where you will immediately feel the light and airy atmosphere. Here, you will find all you should need to prepare delicious meals throughout your stay with facilities including an oven, a hob, a kettle, an American fridge and a microwave. Meanwhile, the games room features a pool table.

The formal dining room is the perfect place to socialise and entertain. With enough seating for 12 guests, you can gather here for an evening of great food and good company in front of the original feature fireplace.

Once replenished, head to the cosy living room where you will find two sumptuous sofas, two additional armchairs and a toasty open fire. Get the whole family together for an evening of games, chatter and a movie marathon on the Smart TV.

The first floor comprises five luxurious bedrooms, all designed to the highest standard with comfortable soft furnishings, fluffy robes and far-reaching views of the private fields and parkland of Croxton Park Estate. There are two bedrooms on the first floor, one which features a double four-poster bed and the other with a king-size bed. Meanwhile, three additional bedrooms are on the second floor and feature two single beds and a double bed with an inter-connected door. The final bedroom is complete with a double bed.

Finally, there are three family bathrooms shared between the rooms, one with a bath, one with a shower and one with a shower and a bath.

Outside, you will have access to a private garden with ample space to relax and entertain. There is also a patio with space to dine alfresco when the sun is shining.

There is a key safe where you can access the key to the property for a self-check-in.

Deposit: Bookings are subject to a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the booking value plus applicable booking fees with the balance payable 60 days before the date of travel.

Accidental Damage Deposit: To maintain the highest standards in our properties, guests will need to pay a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £1000 prior to their stay.

Book with confidence: If your booking is affected by new Government travel restrictions which were not known at the time of booking, and you are legally unable to travel, we will arrange with the property owner to refund 100% of your holiday cost.

The cottage is located at Croxton Park Estate and is surrounded by an abundance of countryside, lakeside and woodland walks. The nearest pub is The Geese and Fountain, just a 25 minutes' walk away. Meanwhile, there is a local village food store in the village of Croxton Kerrial or larger supermarkets in both Grantham and Melton Mowbray. Takeaways are also located Grantham and Melton Mowbray.

Just a 10-minute drive away is The Engine Yard, a three-acre retail village with an abundance of eateries, artisan shops and beautifully landscaped surroundings on the Belvoir Estate. Here, you can sip cocktails at the Balloon Bar, enjoy woodfired pizzas at the Fuel Tank or grab a freshly ground coffee from the Café. The estate is also surrounded by picturesque walking routes and cycling paths to enjoy.
