The farmhouse is accessed through private gates and is located near the owners' farm. If you fancy a stroll or a two-wheel adventure, there are many picturesque routes on your doorstep, including Nidderdale AONB, Brimham Rocks and the Y
orkshire Dales. Just 1.5 miles away, the nearest dog-friendly pub is The Chequers Inn, offering traditional meals, hearty carveries and real ales.
The pretty village of Ripley is only 5 minutes away by car and provides an abundance of countryside walks and an ancient castle to explore. A little further afield is Pateley Bridge, housing the oldest sweet shop in England, or Ripon with its stunning cathedral and a plethora of eateries and shops.
Fountains Abbey and Studley Water Garden and Deer Park is one of the best National Trust sites in the UK and only 15 minutes away from the house. Get the whole group together and discover the wildlife that wanders through the trees. If you are lucky, you might even spot a red, fallow or sika deer.
York is under an hour away and perfect for a day trip or a spot of retail therapy. Discover this stunning Roman and Viking city with its beautiful architecture and historic landmarks, grab a bite to eat at one of the many eateries or head to the National Railway Museum for a journey through time.
