Situated at the end of a pretty tree-lined driveway, Limestone Barn comprises two beautiful cottages, Green Pastures Cottage and Buttermilk Barn. Both cottages are brimming with character and charm and provide enough space for both groups to gather for special occasions and mealtimes. If you don’t feel like cooking, arrangements can be made for a local catering company to deliver to you, or you can book a personal chef. Should you wish to explore the area, there is a local pub within walking distance and the market town of Bakewell is just 10 minutes away.

Green Pastures Cottage

Sleeps 6 / 3 Bedrooms / 2 Bathrooms

This little stone cottage begins with an open-plan living space with features including underfloor heating, a cosy wood-burning stove and comfy sofa seating. The well-equipped kitchen comprises a Belfast sink and a double Range oven, a fridge/freezer, dishwasher and a dining table which seats 12 guests when extended. Upstairs, the master suite has a king-size bed and an en-suite shower room and a dressing area. There’s also a bedroom with a double bed and one with two single beds; these share the family bathroom which has a bath over the bath. At the front of the cottage, there’s a garden with a lawn and a patio which has a table and chairs for dining alfresco.

Buttermilk Barn

Sleeps 6 / 3 Bedrooms / 2 Bathrooms

Upon entering the cottage, you will be greeted by an open-plan living space with a lounge and a dining room which seats 8 guests. There is a comfortable sofa, a Smart TV and a wood-burning stove, along with underfloor heating for that extra cosy touch. With a country cottage style, the well-equipped kitchen features a Belfast sink and a double Range oven, as well as a fridge/freezer and a dishwasher. Upstairs, there is a master bedroom with a king-size bed and an en-suite shower room. There’s also a bedroom with a double bed and one with two single beds, plus a family bathroom with a bath and shower over. Outside, there is a front lawn with a dining table and chairs.

The owners live on the site and are available to answer any questions you may have. However, there is a lockbox with a key to allow for a self-check-in.

We plant a tree for every booking we make to help offset some of the carbon emissions generated by our stays.

Deposit: Bookings are subject to a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the booking value plus applicable booking fees with the balance payable 60 days before the date of travel.

Accidental Damage Deposit: To maintain the highest standards in our properties, guests will need to pay a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £250 prior to their stay. An advance payment as detailed in the booking summary can be made to waive the requirement.

The cottages are located in the Peak District countryside and once you’re settled in, there isn’t any need for a car if all you’re after is a relaxing stay with scenic walks from the door.

The local village is about a 5-10-minute walk away and is very pretty with limestone houses, a duck pond and a pub that serves good ales and food, perfect for lunch after a scenic stroll.
