Sunflower Cottage is housed in the beautifully restored, original stable block along with four other cottages (there are eight in total at the estate). Exposed stone walls and stone floors provide character, while the high level of attention to detail combines the charm of a boutique country house hotel with the warmth of a home. Enjoy picnics in the estate’s gardens and admire views of Glamorgan’s Heritage Coast, before relaxing in the cottage’s stunning conservatory room that overlooks the garden. Meanwhile, days out can be enjoyed at local beaches, the Wales Coastal Path and the historic town of Cowbridge.

Step through the front door and into a spacious open-plan space with exposed brickwork, stone floors and cosy soft furnishings. There’s a lovely contemporary meets rustic feel that’s very homely.

The lounge area is beautifully decorated with two comfy sofas and a Smart TV. Just off the lounge is the bespoke kitchen which is fully equipped with everything you could need to self-cater with ease including a combination microwave oven, an electric hob and a dishwasher.

Wooden sliding doors lead to a separate double bedroom with a king-size bed and a luxury en-suite shower room.

There’s also a light and bright conservatory room overlooking the kitchen garden that provides a tranquil place to sit and watch the sun come up with a morning coffee, read a good book, or enjoy a romantic meal around the dining table.

You will also have access to a separate, shared laundry room with a washing machine, iron and ironing board situated in the outer courtyard. Meanwhile, the estate’s 9 acres of gardens and grounds are perfect for a quiet stroll, a picnic or admiring the sunset over the sea in the distance.

There is a key safe where you can access the key to the property for a self-check-in.

The estate grounds and gardens are communal and are available to guests of the manor house and all the apartments and cottages at the site.

We plant a tree for every booking we make to help offset some of the carbon emissions generated by our stays.

Guests have free access to the EV charger.

Deposit: Bookings are subject to a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the booking value plus applicable booking fees with the balance payable 60 days before the date of travel.

Accidental Damage Deposit: To maintain the highest standards in our properties, guests will need to pay a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £300 prior to their stay. An advance payment as detailed in the booking summary can be made to waive this requirement.

The property is part of a country estate with a Georgian Grade II* listed Manor House and 9 acres of grounds. You are welcome to take a walk around, explore and ‘meet’ the resident alpacas, sheep, chickens and ducks.

Situated in the Vale of Glamorgan, the property is close to fantastic country and coastal walks including the short walk to the pebbly beach of Limpert Bay. From here there are spectacular views across the Bristol Channel to Exmoor and Minehead.
