Foxglove Cottage is one of four holiday homes set within mature and extensive grounds in the Dorset countryside. With its own private garden and homely living space, you can relax quietly and undisturbed yet still make the most of the estate’s facilities, including an outdoor swimming pool and play area. Should you wish to venture out, you are perfectly placed to discover the historic streets of Dorchester, the market town of Sherborne, the spectacular Jurassic Coast and so much more.

The property begins with a modernised living space, complete with two plush velvet sofas, a Smart TV and a four-seater dining table, all perfectly placed in front of the crackling wood-burning stove.

Meanwhile, the kitchen features everything you will need to prepare delicious meals to enjoy together. You will have access to an electric oven and hob, a dishwasher, washing machine, a fridge/freezer and a Nespresso coffee machine.

Venture up the handmade wooden staircase to the second floor where you will find two individually designed bedrooms, one of which has a double bed and one with twin beds. There is also a spacious shared bathroom with a large shower with rainfall head.

Outside, you will have access to a private patio, garden furniture and a BBQ with further access to a large communal garden perfect for enjoying your meals alfresco during the sunny days and sipping a crisp glass of wine under the starry sky.

All guests of the cottages have use of the large outdoor heated swimming pool (open between May – September) and a children’s play area with garden games. Home-grown fruit and vegetables are available seasonally and the owner offers a delicious selection of home-made cakes to make your stay extra special.

The owners will greet you on arrival and show you into the property.

We plant a tree for every booking we make to help offset some of the carbon emissions generated by our stays.

Deposit: Bookings are subject to a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the booking value plus applicable booking fees with the balance payable 60 days before the date of travel.

Accidental Damage Deposit: To maintain the highest standards in our properties, guests will need to pay a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £250 prior to their stay. An advance payment as detailed in the booking summary can be made to waive this requirement.

The cottage is set in the pretty rural village of Buckland Newton offering a wonderful family run pub, and well stocked village store nestled between the beautiful towns of Dorchester and Sherborne. Rich in history, this wonderful place offers the opportunity to visit the Roman Town House and Amphitheatre, a selection of boutique shops and a range of excellent restaurants.

Meanwhile, other attractions that make a great day trip include Minterne House and Gardens which feature beautiful gardens in the style of Capability Brown, while the lovely village of Cerne Abbas is worth a visit to see the giant chalk figure carved into the hills. There are also National Trust properties, including Montacute House, Lytes Cary Manor and Stourhead House and Gardens, to visit.
