Why we love this

  • Enjoy views over the fields to the Welsh mountains from the hot tub
  • Excellent location for country pursuits and exploring the Llyn Peninsula
  • A private chef can be booked to make a celebratory dinner extra special

Converted from original barns at the small holding on which it is situated, the lodge offers spacious accommodation set over two floors. It also enjoys stunning views over the mountain ranges of Garn Boduan, Garn Fadryn and Yr Eifl.

There is plenty of space to spend time together or apart if preferred – ideal for occasions when kids and adults want to do their own thing.

The heart of the lodge is the light and airy, open-plan conservatory which comprises the kitchen, a breakfast table for four and a sitting area. It’s a fantastic, casual entertaining space where you can socialise against a backdrop of stunning countryside views. There is also room to hang coats and store muddy boots after long countryside walks.

For meals all together, there’s an impressive dining room with a gabled ceiling and the original wooden beams, plus a fabulous mural of the countryside on one of the walls. Gather around the huge dining table and enjoy a delicious dinner. With sofa seating and a Smart TV too, it’s the ideal set up for after dinner games, drinks or chatting into the small hours.

When it’s time to get cosy, there’s a small lounge with an open fire and a Smart TV that’s ideal for smaller groups to relax.

There are eight bedrooms, including five on the ground floor. Some are compact and best suited to children, whilst the larger rooms are more comfortable for adults. Off the lounge there are two small double bedrooms and a family room with a king-size double, a single bed and an en-suite shower room. There are also two bedrooms with a king-size bed and a downstairs bathroom with a corner bath and a shower over. There are also two shower rooms.

On the mezzanine level above the lounge there is a snug double bedroom. Upstairs on the first floor there are two more bedrooms. One with a double bed, single bed and single trundle bed, and one with two single beds and a single trundle bed.

Outside, there is a large, gravelled garden area with a table and benches for dining together alfresco. There are also garden chairs, a firepit and an 8-seat hot tub, plus superb countryside views. It’s a beautiful space to unwind, enjoy evening drinks or to stargaze on a clear night.

There is also ample parking.

The owners will greet you on arrival and show you into the property.

Location

The neighbourhood

The lodge is located in the small, rural hamlet of Boduan. It is just 2.5 miles from the coastal village of Morfa Nefyn on the Llyn Peninsula which has a sandy beach that’s popular with families, a shop and a pub. A little further is the town of Nefyn which has a choice of shops, pubs and restaurants.

If you wish to explore the countryside there are country walks from the door, while clay shooting, shooting lessons and simulated game days can be arranged at the owners’ shooting school nearby. A range of water sports are available locally too.
