    Tulip Cottage is a stylish and contemporary house in the heart of Henley-on-Thames that has recently been renovated to a very high standard. This wonderful abode features a spacious lounge with rustic beams and a private garden with ample space to dine alfresco, so it is ideal for a large family or a group of friends. The location offers an abundance of shops and eateries nearby, including a private entrance to The Bull on Bell Street pub and restaurant next door.

  • The space

    This beautiful, three-storey cottage is stylish, yet homely with its low beamed ceilings, herringbone flooring and panelled walls.

    Step inside the open-plan living/dining room where you will immediately be greeted by the warmth and comfort of this luxurious abode. The sitting room features two inviting L-shaped sofas, a Smart TV and rustic-chic décor for that extra cosy touch, while the 12-seater dining table provides the perfect place to savour delicious meals.

    Double doors lead to the well-equipped kitchen which comprises a farmhouse sink, an electric oven, an induction hob, a coffee machine and a dishwasher. Gather here for a morning coffee and snacks around the breakfast bar or the additional dining table while you plan your next adventure.

    Venture around the corner to a further sitting room, complete with a large sofa, two armchairs and a Smart TV. Relax here with your favourite book in-hand while you await your delicious feast.

    The house features five beautiful bedrooms, each furnished to a high standard with calming colour tones and luxurious linen sheets. There are four bedrooms on the first floor, one with a king-size bed and bunk beds, one with a super-king size bed and an en-suite shower room and a further two bedrooms with twin beds, one of which has an en-suite shower room. There is also a separate family bathroom with a luxurious free-standing bath and shower.

    On the second floor there is a Master bedroom with a super-king size bed with seating area and an en-suite shower room.

    Outside, you will have access to an enclosed patio with a ten-seater dining table for delicious alfresco meals on a warm summer’s day.

    Deposit: Bookings are subject to a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the booking value plus applicable booking fees with the balance payable 60 days before the date of travel.

    Accidental Damage Deposit: To maintain the highest standards in our properties, guests will need to pay a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £1,000 prior to their stay.

    Book with confidence: If your booking is affected by new Government travel restrictions which were not known at the time of booking, and you are legally unable to travel, we will arrange with the property owner to refund 100% of your holiday cost.

The neighbourhood

The cottage is located in the town of Henley-on-Thames, regarded as one of the prettiest in the south of England thanks to its riverside location. It’s a delightful place for retail therapy in quirky, independent shops, to enjoy leisurely lunches or take a sightseeing boat trip.

Henley also hosts annual events including the Henley Royal Regatta, the Henley Literary Festival and the Henley Food Festival. Meanwhile, The Henley Showground has a full programme of events to suit many tastes.

If you like perusing historic homes, great day trips include Stonor Park which is one of the oldest family homes still lived in today, as well as the National Trust’s Greys Court and Nuffield Place which was home of the founder of the Morris Motor Company.

If it’s long walks and undisturbed nature that you crave, head for the Warburg Nature Reserve or set out on the Chiltern Way to explore part of its stunning 134 miles.

Getting around

A car is not essential for travelling to the property and ease of getting around. However, there is one parking space at the property.

The nearest train station is at Henley-on-Thames and is just a 5-minute walk.
