At the heart of the property is the open-plan kitchen/dining room/lounge which is beautifully constructed with wooden ceiling beams and floor-to-ceiling windows. Relax on the L-shaped sofa with the ambience of the flame-effect fireplace and your programme of choice on the 55” Samsung Frame TV.

The kitchen space has all you could need to whip up everything from a hearty breakfast to a banquet dinner. There’s an oven and hob, a microwave, a Nespresso coffee machine, a wine fridge, a fridge/freezer and a dishwasher, while the dining table seats four.
Meanwhile, French doors lead outside to the enclosed lawned garden at the front of the lodge. Here, you will find your bubbling hot tub, barrel sauna and a dining table for alfresco meals.

There are two elegant bedrooms on either side of the living space, both of which feature king-size beds and luxury en-suite bathrooms and Alexa tech. When the sun is shining, open the huge windows to bring the outside in.

You will be given access to the key box for a flexible check-in.

The neighbourhood

The property is in the pretty Dorset village of Leigh and is perfectly placed to enjoy scenic walks from the doorstep and delicious pub lunches in nearly towns and villages. Leigh has a wonderful local shop and café, serving local bread, essentials and local fare.

Around a 15-minute drive away is the pretty town of Sherborne with its historic Sherborne Abbey and two castles, one being a stately home and the other an impressive 12th-century ruin. It’s a great place to dine and shop in independent stores, plus there are regular farmers’, artisan and vintage markets.
