The house
Throughout this spacious house there are beautiful original details including oak flooring, ornate architraves, wood-panelled rooms and high ceilings.
Step into the impressive oak-panelled hallway and head through to the dining room where you can enjoy a fantastic dinner around the dining table with views over the garden.
There’s also a drawing room and a games room with comfortable seating and a grand oak fireplace, plus a snooker table. Should you need to catch up on work or simply fancy reading a book quietly, there’s a study too.
A modern and well-equipped kitchen offers everything you, or a private chef (if you opt to hire one), could need to create delicious meals for everyone. There’s a morning room next to it, ideal for taking time out with a coffee.
The house has nine bedrooms, which are a mixture of doubles with a king-size bed and twin bedrooms. One bedroom is on the ground floor and has a bathroom. The other eight are on the first floor, accessed via the striking carved staircase in the hallway. Two of the upstairs bedrooms are suites, one of which is very romantic and has a French bed and beautiful views. All bedrooms either have en-suite facilities or access to a private bathroom.
Outside, there are extensive gardens for playing games and having fun. There’s also a large terrace with tables and chairs where you can dine alfresco or enjoy evening drinks.
The cottage
The gatehouse cottage, next door to the main house, offers extra space, flexibility and privacy for your group. It has three comfortable bedrooms and sleeps up to six guests. Decorated in a modern and simple style, it’s ideal for members of your group who would like to retreat to their own space as and when they need to. Self-contained, it also features a kitchen, a bathroom with bath and shower over and a private garden area.
