The neighbourhood
The property is located in a small village in the
Worcestershire countryside and is about a 20-minute drive from the pretty town of Bewdley where you can enjoy leisurely walks and waterside dining along the River Severn. Meanwhile, the market town of Droitwich Spa is about 5 miles from the property and on a hot summer’s day, the Droitwich Spa Lido is a great place for an outdoor swim.
For a slice of city life, head to Worcester, about 15 miles away, where attractions include the cathedral, the racecourse and The Commandery which was the Royalist’s headquarters during the English Civil War.
History-lovers will also enjoy a day trip to Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare, as well as a host of the National Trust’s stately homes including Croome Court and Hanbury Hall.
For all-round family fun head to Churchfields Farm, not far from the property, to meet the dairy cows and enjoy a delicious ice cream. Further afield, family-friendly day trips include West Midland Safari Park, the Severn Valley Railway, Warwick Castle and Cadbury World.

Getting around
Due to the rural location, a car is advised to travel to this property, located a short drive from junctions 4 and 5 of the M5 and around a 25-minute drive from the centre of Birmingham. There isn’t a local bus route in the area, however, Bromsgrove and Droitwich train stations are about a 10-minute drive away, and taxis can be pre-booked to bring you to the cottage. There is access to the cycling route that runs through Worcestershire.
