Larch Cabin has been lovingly hand-crafted to create a unique and luxurious retreat for families and groups of friends to enjoy. The open-plan layout has been carefully designed with socialising and entertaining in mind, yet the en-suite bedrooms provide a private space to relax and unwind. Unique features include a hand-crafted spiral staircase, built around a local tree, large timber walls throughout and a private hot tub with exceptional river views. This two-storey log cabin exudes character and rustic charm. Think large timber walls, earthy colour tones and natural materials to enrich the riverside location.

Step into the impressive entrance hall, where you are immediately greeted by an open-plan living space, featuring a comfortable lounge and a kitchen/dining room. The modern kitchen has everything you should need to create a feast for the whole family to enjoy, including an induction hob, oven, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, toaster and a kettle, integrated dishwasher, washing machine and a fridge-freezer. Gather around the ten-seater dining table to wine and dine together, all whilst admiring the exceptional views of Liddel Water from the floor-to-ceiling windows.

After a day of spending quality time together in the surrounding woodland, sink into the armchairs or gather on the L-shaped sofa for a movie on the Smart TV or some board games. When the temperature starts to drop, light the crackling log burner for that extra cosy touch.

There are five beautifully decorated bedrooms altogether, each with nature-inspired décor and 700-count cotton linen sheets. Two of the bedrooms are on the ground floor, including a king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room and a hand-crafted bunk bedroom which is perfect for kids. There is also a handy family bathroom next door.

Venture up the hand-built spiral staircase, uniquely constructed out of a local tree. Here, you will find a twin bedroom and the remaining two king-size bedrooms, each with its own en-suite with a shower and a bath, plus exceptional views from the large window walls.

Step outside onto the wrap-around balcony where you will have access to plenty of comfortable seating, all perfectly positioned to capture the riverside views. Below the balcony is an outdoor lounge, ideal for socialising and fully equipped with a BBQ, wood fired pizza oven, relaxing lounge chairs, a fire pit for toasting marshmallows and a bubbling hot tub. Gather here for an evening of entertainment or a spot of stargazing with the family.

There is a key safe where you can access the key to the property for a self-check-in.

Please be mindful of the steep bank at the front of the house and uneven ground in the woodland.

There is no banister on the spiral staircase which should not be used by children unless supervised.

Deposit: Bookings are subject to a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the booking value plus applicable booking fees with the balance payable 60 days before the date of travel.

Accidental Damage Deposit: To maintain the highest standards in our properties, guests will need to pay a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £500 prior to their stay.

Book with confidence: If your booking is affected by new Government travel restrictions which were not known at the time of booking, and you are legally unable to travel, we will arrange with the property owner to refund 100% of your holiday cost.

The cabin is situated in the Liddel Valley, surrounded by vast woodland beside the banks of the River Liddel, flowing between the English and Scottish border. Just 10 minutes away is the nearest pub, Pentonbridge Inn, serving seasonal dishes with fresh, local produce.

Historic Carlisle is situated 15 miles away and is the main shopping centre in the northern half of Cumbria. Here you can grab a bite to eat at one of the many bars and eateries or enjoy a spot of retail therapy.
