Enjoy the laid-back feel at this holiday home in beautiful Mid Wales where you can savour simple pleasures such as nature walks in the meadows, family picnics, birdwatching and relaxing in the hot tub.
Ty Balconi is perfect for a cosy cottage break in Mid Wales with family or friends and features a balcony and patio area with spectacular countryside views where you might catch a glimpse of Red Kites flying above. Ty Balconi is housed within an 18th-century farm building that has been restored and divided up into a small collection of holiday properties. It is part of a family-owned holiday cottage site that aims to promote wellbeing through its stunning setting in 13 acres of private grounds, which include woodlands, wildflower meadows and a small lake where inspiring views and soothing nature walks are the norm. Quality time can be spent together at the picnic area or playing billiards in the on-site games room, whilst luxuries come in the form of access to a huge hot tub and the opportunity to hire a private chef. Ty Balconi is also well placed for outdoor adventures in the Cambrian Mountains or enjoying the coastal beauty of Cardigan Bay.
As you climb the steps to the upper floor of Ty Balconi you’ll come to a balcony area that leads indoors to an open-plan living space with vaulted ceilings, fresh country-style decor and plenty of natural light.
The lounge has comfy sofas to curl up on and admire the captivating view towards the countryside beyond the balcony or watch a Netflix movie. Meanwhile, the kitchen has everything you will need to whip up a picnic to take on a long walk in the mountains, or a delicious dinner to be enjoyed around the dining table as you recount the highlights of your day.
If you’d like the night off from cooking, a private chef can be arranged to cater for you in the comfort of your holiday cottage, whether a fine dining experience or a casual barbecue feast.
From the open-plan living area, there are stairs down to the ground floor where there are two bedrooms, each with underfloor heating and a Smart TV. The master bedroom has a super-king-size bed, that can be split into two single beds, and access to a Welsh slate patio. The second bedroom sleeps three guests in a single bed and custom-built bunk beds.
Also on the ground floor is a contemporary family wet room with a walk-in Grohe power shower, WC, single basin and heated towel rail.
The property also benefits from access to facilities that are shared with the other properties on the site:
In addition, if you’d like to host a special occasion, an intimate wedding, a corporate event or a group activity here, you can book the Great Hall that features a 6ft by 5ft dropdown WiFi-enabled screen, a piano, seating for 50 people and floor-to-ceiling glass windows with views of the countryside.
The owners will welcome you on arrival and show you to your holiday cottage. There is ample parking at the site.
The holiday cottage site features low voltage LED lighting and a computer-controlled biomass central heating and water heating system. There is also a biodisc biological sewerage system and a UV filtration system to reduce the use of chemicals, whilst cleaning products are environmentally friendly. Toiletries are supplied from a local social enterprise company and there is an extensive recycling programme.
The garden is not completely enclosed which is worth bearing in mind if you are staying with young children or dogs.
