Holiday Cottages Shropshire Hills
Covering around one quarter of Shropshire, the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is a stunning and varied landscape. There isn’t one feature that dominates, just a mix of rolling hills, rocky crags, river valleys and high plateaus.
The area extends from the Wrekin to the Clun Valley and Clun Forest, the Stiperstones to the Clee Hills, all of which are beautiful, as is the Long Mynd. You can easily feel remote and along the Welsh border are some of the most sparsely populated areas. There are delightful villages and hamlets, yet Church Stretton is the only town in the AONB. Other attractive towns like Ludlow are just outside.
The area is rich in wildlife and heritage and popular with anyone who likes to be outdoors. Excellent walking territory, the area attracts serious walkers and those looking for a leisurely ramble followed by a delicious pub lunch, alike.
