This cosy cottage is set out over three floors and is furnished with antiques and original paintings in keeping with the period style.

On the ground floor there’s a sitting room with a large inglenook fireplace with a log burner, as well as a sofa, armchairs and a window seat, plus a Netflix enabled Smart TV.

Next to the sitting room is the dining room, with a (non-operational) fireplace and a large table with seating for six guests. It’s the perfect place for enjoying dinner or playing one of the board games such as Monopoly, that are provided. There’s even an Alexa.

Meanwhile, the kitchen is well-equipped with everything you would expect to find including an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher, as well as a washing machine. A downstairs WC is located by the kitchen for your convenience.

On the first floor there’s the master bedroom which has a super-king-size bed, a window seat and a raised area with a Victorian style bathtub. In addition, there’s an en-suite bathroom with a rain shower. The second bedroom is a smaller double but equally sumptuous with a walk-in wardrobe and this bedroom is served by an adjoining bathroom.

Upstairs, in the eaves of the cottage, is the third bedroom which has a super-king-size bed and an en-suite shower room.

Soft towelling dressing gowns are provided for guests too.

There’s also a small bunkhouse in the garden of the cottage, ideal for younger guests to play in.

The walled courtyard garden is a pretty space with a table and chairs, as well as a BBQ area. Meanwhile, a pathway leads to your private wood-fired hot tub area with deck chairs for you to relax in. It’s an ideal oasis of calm away from the town.

As a guest of the cottage, you also have full access to the facilities at the neighbouring hotel which include a spa (bookings required), a bar, lounges, a restaurant and a car park.

Guests of the cottage have access to the facilities of the hotel next door but one. These include:

Spa
Tucked away like a secret sanctuary at the bottom of the hotel’s picturesque walled garden, the spa is a haven of tranquillity. Wet Spa facilities include a hydrotherapy tub, sauna, Jacuzzi shower, jacuzzi outdoor hot tub and indoor and outdoor relaxation areas, while treatments available include facials and massages.

Restaurant
Breakfast, lunch and dinner can be enjoyed at the restaurant that serves dishes created from local and seasonal ingredients. The atmosphere is relaxed with the beautiful hotel garden for a backdrop.

Residents’ lounges
There is a morning room ideal for quiet time, a drawing room that’s perfect for enjoying a coffee and a snooker room.

Cocktail bar
The cocktail bar serves a range of drinks including Champagne and local craft beers.

Check-in is at the reception of the neighbouring hotel where a member of staff will welcome you and give you the keys to the cottage.
