Manor House

Step inside the entrance hall where you will be greeted by a plethora of unique features and period-style touches, which are a true sign of what the rest of the house has in store.

The elegant drawing room is purposely designed to create a sociable and relaxing space to gather with friends and family. Features include three sumptuous sofas, a Great Grandfather Clock and a bookcase manufactured by Gillow’s of Lancaster, while the large open fire takes pride of place.

Continue into the formal dining room where you will find a 20-seater dining table, perfect for enjoying delicious banquets beside the wood burner. What’s more, the room can double up as a conference room if required with its projector and screen.

The manor features two kitchens, one for everyday use with two steam ovens, a main oven, a microwave, a combi oven and an induction hob, while the second kitchen is equipped for professional catering and large dinner parties (private chefs can be arranged on request).

There are multiple rooms with entertainment for the whole group to enjoy, including an impressive cinema room with a 90” screen and sumptuous seating, a newly renovated cellar snug with a cosy open fire and an original Juke Box. Along with this, there is also a unique cheese room, fully equipped with a variety of famous cheeses for you to try as you wish.

When the sun is shining, the orangery is an idyllic place to relax, read a book or enjoy the garden views. Complete with plenty of seating, a BBQ and a pizza oven, you’ll instantly feel a sense of calm here.

The manor comprises nine luxurious and elegantly designed super-king-size bedrooms, each inspired by iconic hotels around the world. The bedrooms are spread across the ground floor or first floor and they all have an en-suite bathroom, shower room or both.

The Summer House

There is also a self-contained, two-storey cottage within the grounds which accommodates two additional guests. You will have access to a cosy lounge, an equipped kitchen, a double bedroom with a free-standing bath and a modern shower room.

The Shared Grounds

Outside, you will have access to the extensive and perfectly preened gardens. Take leisurely strolls along the winding pathway which leads to the luxurious 20-seater pod. Gather here to enjoy views of the rolling hills with a glass of wine in hand or get cosy under the heaters in winter with your favourite movie on the Smart TV. During the summer months, the covers can be removed to transform the space and bring the outside in.

The owners will greet you on arrival and show you around the property.

We plant a tree for every booking we make to help offset some of the carbon emissions generated by our stays.

Hot tub: As the hot tub is emptied, cleaned and refilled after each booking, we cannot guarantee that your hot tub will be at its optimal operating temperature upon arrival.

Deposit: Bookings are subject to a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the booking value plus applicable booking fees with the balance payable 60 days before the date of travel.

Accidental Damage Deposit: To maintain the highest standards in our properties, guests will need to pay a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £5,000 prior to their stay.

The manor house is located near Cartmel, a picture-perfect village on the southern edge of the Lake District. Known for its rich heritage, gourmet restaurants and famous sticky toffee pudding shop, you’ll never be short of something to do. Along with this, it’s also home to a popular racecourse, Lakeland Segway, Unsworth’s Yard Brewery, Black Horses Ltd and Holker Hall for a tour of the hall and gardens.

For a day beside the sea, head to Grange-over-Sands, a beautiful seaside resort on the Southern tip of Cartmel. Take leisurely strolls along the promenade and enjoy the natural landscapes, or head to one of the many tea rooms for a delicious bite to eat. Should you wish to see the sights while sailing the Lakes, take a look at the private lake tours and the National Trust’s Victorian Steam Yacht Gondola available at Coniston Water.
