Perthshire, in eastern Scotland, is a county that invites you to enjoy the great outdoors and explore the unspoilt scenery. Nicknamed ‘Big Tree Country’, Highland Perthshire is rich in woodlands and stunning specimen gardens. Along with forested landscapes, there are tranquil glens and beautiful moors home to wildlife including eagles and Red Deer.

A Perthshire holiday cottage is a fantastic choice if you want to walk along trails where you are unlikely to meet another soul, fish in sparkling lochs, visit ancient castles or enjoy a round of golf. If you’re feeling more adventurous you can scale Ben Lawers or go kayaking on the River Tay.

There are charming small towns where you can eat local, visit distilleries and absorb Scottish culture, while the city of Perth is ideal for shopaholics. Perthshire is also a good springboard into the Cairngorms National Park and is within reach of Edinburgh and Glasgow.
