    Seahaven is a spectacular seaside escape located in the beautiful village of Maidencombe. Perfect for multigenerational families and friends, enjoy the luxuries of a sociable and comfortable living space, a heated swimming pool and panoramic sea views from the idyllic glass balconies. Spend your days exploring the quaint coastal towns and sandy beaches nearby or simply relax and enjoy all your impressive abode has to offer. The house also has direct access to the South West Coast path which is ideal for picturesque strolls with views that will take your breath away.

  • The space

    This breathtaking coastal home has been refurbished to the highest standard, but still retains its original and unique charm throughout. The combination of modern amenities and homely décor make for the ultimate seaside escape with comfort in mind.

    Step inside the welcoming hallway and into the dining room where you can gather for delicious family meals or special celebrations. Here, you will find a twelve-seater dining table with comfortable leather chairs, a warming coal effect gas fire for that extra cosy touch and a host of seascape artwork to enrich the coastal location.

    Venture through the arched walkway and into the newly refurbished and fully-equipped modern kitchen. Designed with socialising in mind, this spacious room provides you with a double oven, microwave, wine fridge, coffee machine, French-style fridge/freezer, induction hob, KitchenAid mixer and a dishwasher. An additional dining table sits neatly within the adjoining conservatory, providing extra space to enjoy family meals or listen to the soundtrack of your choice through the Sonos sound system.

    French doors lead to a large balcony with a four-seater table, perfect for relaxing with a ‘bean to cup’ coffee in hand whilst you admire the panoramic views across Torbay and Lime Bay. Beside the kitchen is a handy utility room featuring a washing machine and a tumble dryer.

    The kitchen balcony is shared with the first of two comfortable living rooms which comprise three inviting sofas, an original gas effect coal fireplace and a Smart TV with Sky Q. Relax and unwind with your nearest and dearest whilst taking in the exceptional views or head next door to the sitting room for some quiet time with your favourite book in hand. Here, you will find two sofas, a Smart TV and an additional balcony overlooking the countryside and coast.

    The first of six stunning bedrooms is located on the ground floor with two single beds and an en-suite ‘Jack and Jill’ bathroom with access from the hallway too. Each bedroom has been designed with its own unique style and character, high-quality bed linen, towels and fluffy robes.

    Head upstairs where you will find a further three bedrooms. The master bedroom features a king-size bed, a Smart TV, fitted wardrobes and an en-suite with a shower and a jacuzzi bath. There is also a decked balcony with the best views the house has to offer. There is also a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room and a decked balcony, plus a twin bedroom with an en-suite shower room.

    Venture back downstairs to the main living room and through the sliding doors where you will find a glass-fronted room with panoramic views and a staircase leading to the ground floor. There are two king-size bedrooms with a shared shower room and access to the patio area with a separate games room, fully-equipped gym and swimming pool.

    The games room features a full-size snooker table, a jukebox and table football, plus a bar area with a fridge and a Smart TV on the wall. Meanwhile, the swimming pool complex is in an outer building near to the main house and provides a fun place for the whole family to enjoy. There is an indoor heated pool, an electric sauna and sun loungers. The pool house is surrounded by a decked area which has a sunken hot tub on one side and a large sundeck on the other.

    Outside, you will have access to 2 acres of landscaped gardens, ample seating, a gas BBQ for alfresco meals and a paddock which makes an excellent area for children to play in. At the bottom of the paddock, there is a gate which leads directly to the coastal path.

    There is a key safe where you can access the key to the property for a self-check-in.

  • Sustainability

    If you would like to offset the carbon emissions from your trip, get in touch and we can arrange this for a small fee.

    There are two travel cots provided.

    Upon arrival, guests will receive a welcome hamper containing local produce and champagne.

    Deposit: Bookings are subject to a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the booking value plus applicable booking fees with the balance payable 60 days before the date of travel.

    Accidental Damage Deposit: To maintain the highest standards in our properties, guests will need to pay a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £500 prior to their stay. Any additional cleaning will result in a deduction of £500.

    Book with confidence: If your booking is affected by new Government travel restrictions which were not known at the time of booking, and you are legally unable to travel, we will arrange with the property owner to refund 100% of your holiday cost.

The neighbourhood

Seahaven is located in the stunning village of Maidencombe, surrounded by countryside and coast with a relaxing and quiet beach nearby and the South West Coast path on your doorstep. There are pubs, restaurants and attractions within easy reach, plus neighbouring Teignmouth and Shaldon are only a 5-minute drive away.

Babbacombe is just 1.5 miles away where you can ride the Babbacombe Cliff funicular railway up and down between the beach and the village – on a clear day you might see the red cliffs of Dorset in the distance. The vibrant and atmospheric town of Torquay is 3 miles away and provides more shops, restaurants and delicious fish and chips to enjoy beside the sea.

The area forms part of the Jurassic Coast as well as the English Riviera Geopark, (a place designated by UNESCO as of unique geological interest). It's simply stunning and there is lots to see and do.

Further afield, great days out include the colourful fishing port of Brixham, the historic quayside town of Dartmouth, Dartmoor National Park, Salcombe which is famous for sailing and the city of Exeter.

Getting around

A car is recommended for travelling to the property and ease of getting around. The nearest train station is Torquay.
