About the property
One of three luxury retreats on the site with a driveway that is lined with pretty blossom trees in spring, Rabbitdale Barn provides a tranquil escape for families or couples. Unwind in the private hot tub while admiring the stunning views over Rabbit Dale, or retreat to the cosy living room for an evening of relaxation with your nearest and dearest. Should you wish to explore the area, there is an abundance of walking and cycling routes on the doorstep or you can venture to the historic city of York for a family-friendly day out.

The space
The barn begins with a warm and inviting living room, complete with large patio doors, exposed wooden beams and underfloor heating for that extra cosy touch. Relax and unwind on the sofas with the ambient sound of the log-effect fireplace or admire the breathtaking views over Rabbit Dale and the Yorkshire Wolds . There is also a Smart TV should you wish to catch up on your favourite programmes with a morning coffee.
Meanwhile, the country-style kitchen/dining room provides all the essentials you would expect including a Rayburn, a fridge/freezer, an electric oven and hob, a microwave and a dishwasher. Homemade bread and artisan pizzas can also be made to order with plenty of notice and at an additional fee if you don't feel like cooking.
There are two beautiful bedrooms, each with elegant décor and quality bed linen. The master bedroom is accessed via a small set of steps and features a super-king-size bed and an en-suite shower room and a roll-top bath, while the large twin bedroom comprises an en-suite shower room.
Outside, you will have access to a south-facing garden with views over Rabbit Dale and a private hot tub. When the sun is shining, prepare a delicious alfresco meal on the Kamando Joe BBQ or relax with a crisp glass of wine in hand. -

Wire Sculpting
The owner is an expert in wire sculpting and will teach you to create your very own sculpture. Classes run for the full day and a homemade lunch with wine can be included at an additional fee.
Painting and Drawing
The beautiful surroundings provide the perfect setting for beginners and advanced artists alike. The classes are taught by experienced artists, plus a homemade lunch with wine can be included at an additional fee.
Yoga
Relax and recharge in tranquil surroundings and join in on a yoga class with an experienced instructor.
Sourdough Bread Baking
The owner is a passionate cook and will teach you how to make your own loaf of bread and provide a sourdough starter kit so you can work on your new skill at home too.

Deposit: Bookings are subject to a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the booking value plus applicable booking fees with the balance payable 60 days before the date of travel.
Accidental Damage Deposit: To maintain the highest standards in our properties, guests will need to pay a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £200 prior to their stay. An advance payment as detailed in the booking summary can be made to waive this requirement.
Book with confidence: If your booking is affected by new Government travel restrictions which were not known at the time of booking, and you are legally unable to travel, we will arrange with the property owner to refund 100% of your holiday cost. -

The neighbourhood
The barn is located in the picturesque Yorkshire Wolds with pretty walks from the doorstep including the Wolds Way footpath, The Chalkland Way and The Minster Way. If you prefer a two-wheel adventure, bring your bikes along and admire the stunning scenery as you go.There are plenty of great pubs and restaurants in the area, with the closest being The Wolds Inn which serves a range of traditional meals and local ales, plus it's within walking distance. The Gaite and The Goodmanham Arms are also great choices and just a 10-minute drive away, while the Michelin-starred restaurant Pipe & Glass is a 20-minute drive. Booking is essential.
York is 30 minutes away and perfect for a day trip or a spot of retail therapy. Discover this stunning Roman and Viking city with its beautiful architecture and historic landmarks, grab a bite to eat at one of the many eateries or head to the National Railway Museum for a journey through time.
If you wish to venture towards the coast, Flamborough Head, Filey, Bridlington and Fraisethorpe beach are all around 35-minutes away and are all dog-friendly too.
Other nearby attractions include Castle Howard, Burton Agnes Hall, Willams Den at North Cave, Piglets Adventure Farm, Allerthorpe Water Park and Yorkshire Air Museum.

A car is essential for travelling to the property and ease of getting around.There is parking for two cars.
