About the propertyIf you’re seeking a quiet location where you and your family or friends can enjoy days filled with walks and bike rides through the glen, and evenings spent chatting around the dinner table – whether that’s indoors or out, Peregrine Lodge is a great option. This cabin-style lodge sleeps up to 6 guests, is very cosy and the private garden is a gorgeous spot where you can really spread out, relax and make yourself at home.
Tastefully decorated with neutral colours that don’t detract from the stunning Highlands views for a moment, Peregrine Lodge has all the home comforts that a family or group of friends could need. It’s a great base from which to explore all that the estate has to offer, from walks to fishing, before returning to unwind for the evening.
The entrance to the property is via a shaded decked area from where there are stunning Highlands views incorporating Ben More. Open the front door and step into a small vestibule where you can leave your coats, before heading into the open-plan living area that comprises a fitted oak kitchen with everything you will need to prepare breakfast lunch and dinner for everyone, plus a dishwasher, washing machine and a separate dryer to make it easy to keep on top of clearing everything away.
The kitchen leads into the dining area with table and chairs to seat 6 guests comfortably, as well as the lounge area. There’s an entertainment system including an LCD Smart TV, Blu Ray DVD and access to SKY channels, perfect for chilling out on a rainy day or a cold night.
There are three bedrooms: the master has a king-size bed, while the two other bedrooms both have two large single beds, all with plenty of wardrobe space to keep your belongings tidy. Meanwhile, there’s a family bathroom with a heated floor and a bath with a power shower over, to help you warm up quickly after a day of outdoor adventures.
Outside, the lodge is surrounded by a grassy area and has a private garden where you can spend carefree hours eating, drinking and chatting about the day’s events. On a clear night, it’s a great place to star-gaze from too.
Guests accessOn arrival at the privately-owned estate on which the lodge is located, there is a reception area for check-in, before driving on to Peregrine Lodge where there is space to park your cars.
SustainabilityAll the rooms at Peregrine Lodge are heated with electric low-energy, mineral oil-filled radiators.
Meanwhile, all guests on the estate are asked to sort their plastics, glass and paper and deposit them in the recycling bins provided, whilst food waste can be recycled in the composting bins.
The estate is a rich habitat for a plethora of local wildlife including deer, red squirrels and pine martens, as well as a host of birds. Bird boxes, bird feeders and bat boxes are positioned in the grounds to help bird and bat populations to thrive. You can also buy bird food from the on-site shop to fill up feeders and encourage feathered friends yourself.
If you’d like to help further with the estate’s sustainability programme, you can donate to adopt a tree which will be planted in a location of your choice. You can even purchase a plaque to commemorate the occasion or dedicate the tree to a loved one.
