    Upper Cottage provides a peaceful getaway in the countryside with plenty of walking routes from the doorstep and two cosy pubs close by. As soon as you arrive at this beautiful honey stone cottage, you will feel at home thanks to the thoughtful design and traditional interiors which complement the original character and charm. Should you wish to explore the area, you are perfectly placed to discover all the Cotswolds has to offer with Stow-on-the-Wold, Moreton-in-Marsh and Bourton-on-the-Water all under 15 minutes away.

  • The space

    Step through the front door and into the cosy living room which paves the way with original stone flooring. The two-seater sofa and armchair provide the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day in the countryside, while the wood-burning stove creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. Switch on the Smart TV and immerse yourself in a good film, or retreat to the four-seater dining table to savour a delicious meal.

    Meanwhile, the country-style kitchen is complete with all the essentials including a hob, an electric oven, a microwave, a fridge, a coffee machine and a dishwasher.

    Upstairs, there are two delightful double bedrooms, each with luxury bedding, ample storage space and elegant accessories. A shared bathroom with a shower and a bathtub divides the rooms.

    Head outside to the pretty, private garden where you can enjoy BBQs in the sunshine and a peaceful morning coffee around the bistro set.

  • Guest access

    There is a lock box where you can access the key to the property for a self-check-in and you will have sole use of all the facilities at the cottage. Should you need any assistance, the property manager is available to contact throughout your stay.

  • Sustainability

    If you would like to offset the carbon emissions from your trip, get in touch and we can arrange this for a small fee.

    Deposit: Bookings are subject to a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the booking value plus applicable booking fees with the balance payable 60 days before the date of travel.

    Accidental Damage Deposit: To maintain the highest standards in our properties, guests will need to pay a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £250 prior to their stay. An advance payment as detailed in the booking summary can be made to waive this requirement.

    Book with confidence: If your booking is affected by new Government travel restrictions which were not known at the time of booking, and you are legally unable to travel, we will arrange with the property owner to refund 100% of your holiday cost.

The neighbourhood

The cottage is located in Upper Oddington and within walking distance of two pubs, The Fox, and The Horse and Groom. The village is just on the outskirts of Stow-on-the-Wold which offers an array of great dining options, including Michelin Star restaurants and more cosy pubs, as well as a variety of independent shops. It’s a great location from which to explore the stunning English countryside and there are walking routes right on the doorstep.

The local area, and the Cotswolds in general, is a dream for walkers and the beautiful Evenlode Valley is a great place to start enjoying the countryside. Meanwhile, many pretty towns and villages of the North Cotswolds, including Moreton-in-Marsh and Bourton-on-the-Water are within easy reach.

Days out include trips to Daylesford Farm, just 5 minutes away, where you can browse around the farm shop or enjoy a bite to eat in the restaurant. Blenheim Palace also provides an abundance of activities for the whole family to enjoy, including a walk through the Marlborough Maze and a tour around the palace.

Other fantastic attractions include Batsford Arboretum, Cotswold Falconry, Bourton House Garden, Sezincote Gardens and Hidcote Manor.

Getting around

A car is recommended for travelling to the property and ease of getting around.
