    Mimosa Cottage is housed in the beautifully restored, original stable block along with four other cottages (there are eight in total at the estate). Exposed stone walls add to the character, while the high level of attention to detail creates the atmosphere of a boutique country house hotel combined with the warmth of a home. Enjoy romantic strolls in the estate’s gardens and admire views of Glamorgan’s Heritage Coast, before relaxing in your cosy, open-plan living room. Meanwhile, days out can be enjoyed at local beaches, the Wales Coastal Path and the historic town of Cowbridge.

  • The space

    The property is a ground-floor, suite-style, cottage with exquisite furnishings that make it a very inviting and cosy place to stay. It oozes chic, modern, rustic style.

    The open-plan layout is set out in zones. The well-equipped, bespoke kitchen includes a combination microwave oven, electric hob and a dishwasher, plus there’s a dining table and chairs. The space also incorporates a comfy lounge with a leather sofa, hide-covered armchair, a desk and a Smart TV.

    Sliding barn-style doors open up to the separate double bedroom that overlooks the inner courtyard. Here, you can fall asleep in the king-size, upholstered sleigh bed, while the luxury en-suite shower room is just a few steps away.

    You will also have access to a separate shared laundry room with a washing machine and iron and ironing board which is situated in the main courtyard. Meanwhile, the estate’s 9 acres of gardens and grounds are perfect for a quiet stroll, a picnic or admiring the sunset over the sea in the distance.

  • Guest access

    There is a key safe where you can access the key to the property for a self-check-in.

    The estate grounds and gardens are communal and are available to guests of the manor house and all the apartments and cottages at the site.

    If you'd like to offset the carbon emissions from your trip, get in touch and we can arrange this for a small fee.

    Deposit: Bookings are subject to a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the booking value plus applicable booking fees with the balance payable 60 days before the date of travel.

    Accidental Damage Deposit: To maintain the highest standards in our properties, guests will need to pay a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £300 prior to their stay. An advance payment as detailed in the booking summary can be made to waive this requirement.

    Book with confidence: If your booking is affected by new Government travel restrictions which were not known at the time of booking, and you're legally unable to travel, we will arrange with the property owner to refund 100% of your holiday cost.

The neighbourhood

The property is part of a country estate with a Georgian Grade II* listed Manor House and 9 acres of grounds. You are welcome to take a walk around, explore and ‘meet’ the resident alpacas, sheep, chickens and ducks.

Situated in the Vale of Glamorgan, the property is close to fantastic country and coastal walks including the short walk to the pebbly beach of Limpert Bay. From here there are spectacular views across the Bristol Channel to Exmoor and Minehead.

The property is also in easy reach of local towns including Cowbridge that is steeped in history and has many stylish independent shops and restaurants. Meanwhile, Cardiff is about a 45-minute drive away.

Other places of interest in the area include Dyffryn Gardens managed by the National Trust; the open-air St Fagans National Museum of History and Dunraven Bay which is great for fossil-hunting.

Getting around

A car is recommended for travelling to the property and ease of getting around. The property is easily reachable from the M4. If you arrive by electric vehicle, there are two electric charging points available. The estate also has a helicopter landing point.
