Location

The neighbourhood

The house is located in the pretty village of Hamble (also known as Hamble Le Rice) that sits on the River Hamble estuary, on the outskirts of Southampton. Here you will find winding streets and historic cottages, a convenience shop and a host of pubs and restaurants – perfect for sampling local produce, ale and specialist rum. If you like scenic walks, set off alongside the river.

Hamble is a popular sailing haunt and yachters moor at the marina and visit for sailing races and events. The house is just a couple of minutes’ walk from the waterfront where you can get up close to the sparkling yachts and if you’re looking to enjoy the high life, there are gourmet restaurants and champagne bars too.
