The owners have recently added an oak wood shepherds hut for those brave enough to spend a night under the stars toasting marshmallows.

The ground floor is laid to a generous proportioned, comfortable open plan living, dining and kitchen area. With a high beamed ceiling and a mezzanine floor perfect for some downtime. The kitchen is well-equipped with a large range cooker, fridge freezer, two dishwashers and everything you need to create a feast and has a centre island where all the family can gather. Being open plan the kitchen dining and living room all flow into one, making a great "get together" space. The living area has an open fire which completes the whole cosy setting. In addition you will find a useful boot room for all the family's bits and bobs on this floor and to add even more enjoyment to your holiday experience there is the sauna.
Off from the sauna and living area is the first of the four bedrooms, a large sunny room with velux windows and plenty of floor space, you will find 4 single beds that can be converted into two king-size beds and an en-suite wet room with large walk-in steam shower, double wash basin and WC.
From the beautifully crafted stairs you reach the lower floor where three king size bedrooms are located. All beds in the property have high quality pocket-sprung mattresses and can be converted into twin single beds. All of the three bedrooms are en-suite with showers and one has a roll top bath. Feather and duck down duvets, fine Egyptian cotton bed linens are provided and allergy bedding can be requested. Luxurious bath towels, toiletries and hair dryer are placed in all rooms.
Finally to finish off the superb accommodation the stunning staircase takes you up to the mezzanine floor where the children can hang out and watch TV or if the adults get their first - an ideal place to watch a matinee.
There is an abundance of wildlife and local walks and guests are invited to explore the wider estate which is spread over 100 acres. For those wanting a more energetic stay why not have a match or two of tennis whilst your spectators enjoy the stunning views up and down the valley.
The property is almost free to roam about and access is via a private driveway. The main farmhouse is nearby but sits quite separate. The owners will be on hand to meet and greet guests.
The property is served by an eco friendly wood chip boiler and has an unlimited hot water supply and benefits from under floor heating throughout. Each room is individually thermostatically controlled and a plentiful supply of logs are provided free of charge.
We plant a tree for every booking we make to help offset some of the carbon emissions generated by our stays.

Deposit: Bookings are subject to a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the booking value plus applicable booking and service fees with the balance payable 60 days before the date of travel.
Accidental Damage Deposit: To maintain the highest standards in our properties, guests will need to pay a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £200 prior to their stay. An advance payment as detailed in the booking summary can be made to waive the requirement..

Winnow Mill is located in the stunning area around Selkirk in the Scottish Borders. Sitting within a private farm development surrounded by fields and an oak wood abundant with wildlife. There are numerous walks both inside the grounds and the surrounding local area as well as a range of activities for all age groups and places of interest to visit. The historic town of Selkirk is approx. 6 miles away with a range of amenities including a deli, bakery, butcher and small grocery store. For larger supermarkets Galashiels is 12 miles away and has a M&S Food outlet.
