St Ives Holiday Cottages

St Ives is a popular destination with discerning holidaymakers looking for a coastal break in Cornwall that has an air of elegance. You will be spoilt for choice with restaurants and bars, from the sophisticated to the more laid-back. Meanwhile, if you like nothing better than to peruse the local shops, there are many fantastic independent places where you can treat yourself.

However, it’s the beautiful Blue Flag Porthmeor Beach, ranked as one of the best in the UK, that attracts everyone from sun-worshippers to families seeking lazy days on the sand. If you’re into water sports, the renowned St Ives Surf School is not to be missed. Meanwhile, art lovers should visit the art galleries for which the town is known, including the Tate St Ives and the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden.

The Best Things to Do in St Ives

St Ives isn’t short of scenic coastal walks, including what’s arguably the most spectacular stretch of the South West Coast Path between Porthmeor Beach and Zennor. Points of interest along the way include Man Rock, Seal Island and Trig Point. For something slower-paced, amble around St Ives’ picturesque harbour, dipping in and out of coffee shops as you please.

Why not ship the kids off to school? Surf school that is. St Ives is one of the best places to ride the waves and one of the town’s expert instructors will soon have you looking ‘gnarly’ on the board.

Art enthusiasts have a choice of galleries and exhibits to peruse around St Ives, including Barbara Hepworth’s Museum and Garden and the Tate, which overlooks Porthmeor Beach. Here you can admire the sea views and discover how this quaint fishing village became a beacon for abstract art after the second world war.

Dog-friendly Cottages in St Ives

With so many walks in the fresh air and beaches to bound around, you wouldn’t want your four-legged friend to miss out. Thankfully, they don’t have to. Most of our beach houses in St Ives allow dogs.

With a place to curl up and snooze by the fire and secure gardens to roam as they please, our dog-friendly cottages are a home away from home for your pooch too. And if you need any help finding a beach or restaurant which allows pets, our Guest Services team can point you in the right direction.

Cottages with Hot Tubs in St Ives

Nothing beats a soothing soak after a long day on your feet. Why not elevate that experience by opting for a cottage with a hot tub? The contrast between the cool sea air hitting your cheeks and the warm water getting to work on your muscles is pure bliss.

Choose to have this moment of sanctuary to yourself or keep the good times rolling and raise a glass with friends. After all, it’s not every day you get to watch the sun setting over St Ives Bay from your very own hot tub.
