Meander the winding streets and admire the quaint fishermen’s cottages, as you make your way to the seafront. Enjoy a refreshing drink at the harbour or hop on the ferry and catch the sea breeze as you journey across the water to Rock.

There are beautiful beaches to discover on both sides of the water, as well as stunning walks on the South West Coast Path. Alternatively, jump on a bike and head onto the traffic-free Camel Cycle Trail and into the stunning Cornish countryside, for the best of both worlds.

Of course, we can’t talk about Padstow without mentioning the food scene. Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth have carved out quite the culinary trail, but if you’re more surf n’ turf than moules mariniére, there are bistros, cafes, tapas bars and gastropubs to choose from, not to mention pasty shops and chippies (just watch those pesky gulls).

Need something to wash that down with? Head to the infamous Padstow Brewery for guided tastings of their craft beers. And culture vultures can lose themselves in art galleries and museums – including Prideaux Place, a beautifully kept Elizabethan manor.
