  • About the property

Ideal for families and groups wanting to relax or be active in the beautiful setting in the stunning Scottish Borders countryside. This wonderful nineteenth century converted mill has retained its character whilst creating a luxurious space to enjoy. Sympathetically redeveloped to an extremely high standard using locally sourced hardwoods throughout the property, creates a fusion of old and new making it an inviting and warm holiday home. There is a delightful private outside space situated directly in front of the main living area providing seating along with a barbecue and chiminea, perfect for al fresco dining. The owners have recently added an oak wood shepherds hut for those brave enough to spend a night under the stars toasting marshmallows.

  • The space

The ground floor is laid to a generous proportioned, comfortable open plan living, dining and kitchen area. With a high beamed ceiling and a mezzanine floor perfect for some downtime. The kitchen is well-equipped with a large range cooker, fridge freezer, two dishwashers and everything you need to create a feast and has a centre island where all the family can gather. Being open plan the kitchen dining and living room all flow into one, making a great "get together" space. The living area has an open fire which completes the whole cosy setting. In addition you will find a useful boot room for all the family's bits and bobs on this floor and to add even more enjoyment to your holiday experience there is the sauna.

Off from the sauna and living area is the first of the four bedrooms, a large sunny room with velux windows and plenty of floorspace, you will find 4 single beds that can be converted into two king size beds and an en-suite wet-room with large walk-in-shower, double wash basin and WC.

From the beautifully crafted stairs you reach the lower floor where three king size bedrooms are located. All beds in the property have high quality pocket-sprung mattresses and can be converted into twin single beds. All of the three bedrooms are en-suite with showers and one has a roll top bath. Feather and duck down duvets, fine Egyptian cotton bed linens are provided and allergy bedding can be requested. Luxurious bath towels, toiletries and hair dryer are placed in all rooms.

Finally to finish off the superb accommodation the stunning staircase takes you up to the mezzanine floor where the children can hang out and watch TV or if the adults get their first - an ideal place to watch a matinee.

There is an abundance of wildlife and local walks and guests are invited to explore the wider estate which is spread over 100 acres. For those wanting a more energetic stay why not have a match or two of tennis whilst your spectators enjoy the stunning views up and down the valley.
