    Set within the High Weald, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Olive Tree Cottage provides a tranquil escape in a rural and relaxing location. With six luxurious bedrooms, an open-plan living area with two log burners and a garden with a private swimming pool and hot tub, it’s perfect for a family or group of friends. Surrounded by rolling fields, there are breathtaking views to admire, while country walks begin from the doorstep. Meanwhile, a host of activities are just a short drive away, including Rathfinny Wine Estate and Ashdown Riding.

  • The space

    This spectacular cottage features stylish and elegant country-style décor with vaulted ceilings, soft colour tones and skylights to encourage natural light throughout.

    The heart of the home is the kitchen with its open-plan living and dining room, which has been carefully designed with warmth and comfort in mind. The room features two luxurious log burners and an abundance of sage green windows to compliment the neutral interior. All the kitchen equipment you will need is provided, including an electric oven, an induction hob, an American fridge/freezer, a dishwasher and a Nespresso coffee machine. The large dining table also provides the ideal spot to gather for delicious meals and discuss your next adventure.

    Meanwhile, the cosy living space features a sumptuous sofa to sink into after an exciting day in the countryside. Relax here with your favourite programme on the TV or open the patio doors to admire the serene countryside views.

    The main house comprises five stunning bedrooms, each with a luxurious design, natural materials and soft linen sheets. There is a master bedroom which features a super-king-size bed and an en-suite with a shower and a bath, two further super-king-size bedrooms with an en-suite shower room each, a bunk bedroom and a twin room with a raised bed above. There is also a shared family bathroom with a shower and a bath. Venture outside to the separate studio which includes another super-king-size bedroom and a relaxing sauna with a panoramic window overlooking the rolling fields.

    Outside, you will have access to a spectacular garden with ample entertainment for the whole family. Take a dip in the heated swimming pool (open from 1st May to 30th September) or relax in the bubbling hot tub. If you are feeling hungry, there is a covered dining area and kitchen, equipped with a BBQ and pizza oven.

    Deposit: Bookings are subject to a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the booking value plus applicable booking fees with the balance payable 60 days before the date of travel.

    Accidental Damage Deposit: To maintain the highest standards in our properties, guests will need to pay a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £1,000 prior to their stay.

    Book with confidence: If your booking is affected by new Government travel restrictions which were not known at the time of booking, and you are legally unable to travel, we will arrange with the property owner to refund 100% of your holiday cost.

The neighbourhood

The house is located near the town of Crowborough and set within the High Weald, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There is so much to see and do, including scenic walking routes from the doorstep, followed by a trip to The Kings Arms, the nearest pub which serves traditional classics and local ales. Crowborough also provides a host of supermarkets for all your essentials, as well as independent boutiques, restaurants and cafes.

For family days out, head to Sheffield Park and Gardens and stroll through the landscaped gardens, historic parkland and woodland. There is also a play area for the little ones with activities such as den building, tree climbing and balance beams. End the day at the Coach House Café for a freshly made sandwich or cake beside the lake.

Other nearby attractions include wine tasting at Rathfinny Wine Estate, horse riding lessons at Ashdown Riding and day trips to Blue Bell Railway.

Under an hour away is the seaside resort of Brighton which is known for its quirky shops, independent eateries and bustling atmosphere. Spend your day strolling through the cobbled streets, absorbing the sea views from Brighton Palace Pier and of course, tucking into some delicious fish and chips.
