The barn begins with a warm and inviting living room, complete with large patio doors, exposed wooden beams and underfloor heating for that extra cosy touch. Relax and unwind on the sofas with the ambient sound of the log-effect fireplace or admire the breathtaking views over Rabbit Dale and the Yorkshire Wolds. There is also a Smart TV should you wish to catch up on your favourite programmes with a morning coffee.

Meanwhile, the country-style kitchen/dining room provides all the essentials you would expect including a Rayburn, a fridge/freezer, an electric oven and hob, a microwave and a dishwasher. Homemade bread and artisan pizzas can also be made to order with plenty of notice and at an additional fee if you don't feel like cooking.

A small set of steps leads to the beautiful super-king-size bedroom which is complete with elegant décor and an en-suite with a shower and a luxurious roll-top bath.

Outside, you will have access to a south-facing garden with views over Rabbit Dale and a private hot tub. When the sun is shining, prepare a delicious alfresco meal on the Kamando Joe BBQ or relax with a crisp glass of wine in hand.

Painting and Drawing

The beautiful surroundings provide the perfect setting for beginners and advanced artists alike. The classes are taught by experienced artists, plus a homemade lunch with wine can be included at an additional fee. Due to artist demand please book well in advance.

Hatha Yoga

Whether you are a complete beginner or a regular yogi, relax and recharge with an experienced teacher in your cottage or outside with the Wolds as a calming backdrop.

Sourdough Bread Baking

The owner is a passionate cook and will teach you how to make your own loaf of bread and provide a sourdough starter kit so you can work on your new skill at home too.

The owners will greet you on arrival and show you into the property.

If you would like to offset the carbon emissions from your trip, get in touch and we can arrange this for a small fee.

Deposit: Bookings are subject to a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the booking value plus applicable booking fees with the balance payable 60 days before the date of travel.

Accidental Damage Deposit: To maintain the highest standards in our properties, guests will need to pay a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £200 prior to their stay. An advance payment as detailed in the booking summary can be made to waive this requirement.

Book with confidence: If your booking is affected by new Government travel restrictions which were not known at the time of booking, and you are legally unable to travel, we will arrange with the property owner to refund 100% of your holiday cost.

The barn is located in the picturesque Yorkshire Wolds with pretty walks from the doorstep including the Wolds Way footpath, The Chalkland Way and The Minster Way. If you prefer a two-wheel adventure, bring your bikes along and admire the stunning scenery as you go.

There are plenty of great pubs and restaurants in thearea, with the closest being The Wolds Inn which serves a range of traditional meals and local ales, plus it's within walking distance. The Gaite and The Goodmanham Arms are also great choices and just a 10-minute drive away, while the Michelin-starred restaurant Pipe & Glass is a 20-minute drive. Booking is essential.
