A lovely little cottage that has been lovingly and painstakingly restored by its owners into a holiday home that’s full of rustic, country charm matched with contemporary style. It’s part of a collection of renovated farm buildings situated at the end of a pretty tree-lined driveway, has breathtaking vistas of rolling countryside and there are walks through valleys to picturesque moorland right from the door. Perfect for friends and family to enjoy the great outdoors, leisurely lunches at the local pub and days out in the market town of Bakewell, before relaxing together in front of the log burner in the evenings.
Our properties are handpicked and inspected in person before listing, and we regularly review them for quality control and your peace of mind.
We only work with the best owners, so in the rare event you find one of our properties listed elsewhere for less, we’ll refund you the difference. *

This little stone cottage is deceptively spacious and blends traditional home comforts with a modern meets rustic style of design.
On the ground floor, there’s an open-plan living/dining area where everyone can get together to socialise. Beneath the oak flooring, there’s underfloor heating to keep your toes warm, while the flickering glow of the log-burner offers that extra layer of atmosphere. Sink into the comfy sofa seating and watch your favourite TV programmes or put on a DVD for movie nights in.
The dining table extends to seat up to 12 guests, so if you have friends or family staying in other accommodation at the farm, why not invite them over for dinner?
Whoever the designated chef in your group is, they can easily be part of the chit-chat going on in the lounge as they cook up their feast. With a country cottage decor, the well-equipped kitchen features oak cabinets, granite worktops, a Belfast sink and a double Range oven, as well as a fridge/freezer and a dishwasher.
If you don’t feel like cooking, arrangements can be made for a local catering company to deliver to you, so that pretty much all you have to do is warm the food up. Or, you can book a personal chef to whip up a meal for a special occasion, or even to cook for you every day if you wish.
Meanwhile, the utility room offers space to dry out muddy coats and boots, and a handy additional toilet and washbasin.
Upstairs, there are three bedrooms. The master suite has a king-size bed, an en-suite shower room and a dressing area. There’s also a bedroom with a double bed and one with two single beds; these share the family bathroom which has a bath and shower over, as well as a heated towel rail. All of the beds have a deep mattress to help aid that perfect night’s sleep.
At the front of the cottage, there’s a garden with a lawn that is the ideal place for children to play, for grown-ups to enjoy a glass of Pimm’s in the summer, or for everyone to enjoy a barbecue on the patio which has a table and chairs for dining alfresco.
The owners live on the site and are available to answer any questions you may have. However, there is a lockbox with a key to allow for a self-check-in. There are other holiday properties on the site and there is ample parking, with this cottage benefitting from a private parking space.
We plant a tree for every booking we make to help offset some of the carbon emissions generated by our stays.

The location is semi-rural and once you’re settled in, there isn’t any need for a car if all you’re after is a relaxing stay with fine Peak District country walks from the door. The local village is about a 5-10-minute stroll away and is very pretty with limestone houses, a duck pond and a pub that serves good ales and food.
The nearest shops are approximately 3 miles away in Eyam. If you want more choice of places to eat and drink, there are plenty of restaurants, cafes and pubs in neighbouring villages and towns. Bakewell is just a 10-minute drive away and here foodies should check out the fine dining options at Fischer Baslow Hall, while history buffs should head to Chatsworth House. The spa town of Buxton is also a short drive, of about 20 minutes, and is a lovely place to explore.
If you’re looking for more action, activities including abseiling, rock-climbing, guided walks and cycling can be pre-arranged by the property owners. Please ask our Guest Services team for details.
A car is advised for travelling to this property. There is a local bus service that operates from the pub in the village which is a 5-10-minute walk away.
