Redwood Cottage is your perfect match if you’re drawn to charming, historic buildings. With Grade I listed status and a beautiful setting in the extensive grounds of an elegant mansion house in Cheshire, it’s truly captivating.

Redwood Cottage is a stunning Grade I listed cottage that has been sensitively and stylishly renovated in a way that preserves its character, yet encapsulates a simple and modern kind of elegance.

The cottage is located on the grounds of a grand, historic hall which is the family home of the owners. With nineteen acres of gorgeous gardens and estate parkland to explore, including walking trails that lead to a 1,000-year-old chestnut tree and a lake, it’s an oasis of tranquillity. Redwood Cottage is reached along a tree-lined drive that also leads to the spectacular, historic hall where the family that owns the estate resides.

Once you enter the cottage through the main door, you will find a cosy lounge with a traditional feel, exposed wooden beams overhead, a sofa, armchairs, a TV and a wood-burning stove to add an extra shot of heat of winter evenings. From the lounge, there are two steps up to the classically styled kitchen and the adjacent dining area.

The cottage sleeps 6 adults in three double bedrooms, each with a king-size bed. One of the bedrooms is on the ground floor and comes with countryside views and a small en-suite shower room.

The other two double bedrooms are upstairs. One of which is the master bedroom and features a decorative fireplace and a lovely side room which is spacious enough to use as a bedroom for one or two children (a cot and/or a child’s bed can be provided on request). Also on this floor is the large family bathroom which has a freestanding bath.

Outside there is plenty of green space and woodland where you can enjoy a walk and the fresh air with your family and friends.
