Halloween at Alderford

At any other time of the year, Alderford offers leisure activities or aquatic fun. However, during the witching season, the lake here is the setting for some spooky goings on.

Meanwhile, for adults, a terrifying after-dark experience waits for those that dare! Nightmare Island is not for the faint-hearted. Expect to jump out of your skin at the sight of the lost souls of the lake you who will do their best to beckon you to join them on the other side.

However, for over 18-year-olds, there is something much scarier in store. The Scream Train is the stage for a chilling evening of unexpected surprises. Ride it if you dare!

 Shrewsbury Prison Ghost Hunt

Calling all serious ghost hunters. Taking place late at night and into the early hours, the Halloween Ghost Hunt at Shrewsbury Prison will test your nerves to their limits. The prison is one of the oldest in the UK and has a sinister past that includes misery, death and hangings.

There are many areas of the prison to investigate, from draughty corridors to the confines of the cells, all of which are dark and foreboding. While being hard to stomach, the history you will learn during your ghost hunt is very interesting. Staying the evening here will play with your mind and make you question what’s real and what isn’t. It is definitely not for anyone who scares easily!

The event takes place on 30th October 2022.
