Meadow Barn is located in a quiet and very pretty Yorkshire village where you will find shops, cafe, an award-winning restaurant, takeaways and several excellent local pubs providing good food and real ale.

Great days out include exploring nearby Sowerby Bridge, Hebden Bridge with their artisan delis and art galleries and shops or walk in the footsteps of the Brontes in Haworth across stunning moorland.

Only 20 minutes away in Halifax you can visit the stunning Shibden Hall which dates back to 1420; home to Anne Lister and the setting for the TV series by Sally Wainwright “Gentleman Jack”. Visit The Piece Hall, historic Cloth Hall with its artisan shops and cafes.

Close by, there is an Area of Outstanding National Beauty where you may spot rare animals and a series of ancient round barrow burial sites. Hebden Bridge, Worth Valley Railway and the Parsonage Museum (which commemorates the Bronte family history) are all on your doorstep.

With the Peak District to your south and the Yorkshire Dales to your north you won't be short of good walks and idyllic countryside views. For those looking to plan day trips please contact our Guest Services team who would be happy to provide you with recommendations.
