Arriving through the estate entrance, guests are immediately immersed in the atmosphere of a traditional Scottish stronghold, with turrets, stone walls and sweeping grounds setting the tone for an unforgettable stay.

Inside, the castle balances centuries-old character with warmth and comfort. The main entertaining rooms are generous in scale, making them ideal for celebratory dinners, milestone occasions and long evenings spent together. Rich textures, antique furnishings and original architectural features create a sense of authenticity throughout, while softer touches and carefully designed interiors ensure the property feels welcoming rather than formal.

Several elegant sitting rooms across the main Castle and adjoining Lothian Wing provide space to spread out, whether gathering around the fire with drinks, enjoying a quiet morning coffee or settling in with a book after a day exploring. Large windows overlook the surrounding estate, bringing natural light into the historic interiors and connecting the castle to the landscape beyond.

The bedrooms throughout the estate have been individually styled to reflect the castle’s historic character while maintaining a high level of comfort. Expect quality linens, elegant furnishings, thoughtfully designed bathrooms and peaceful views across the grounds and surrounding countryside. Several rooms offer flexible bed configurations, making the property particularly well suited to mixed groups, families and celebratory stays.

Outside, the grounds offer plenty of space to unwind. Guests can enjoy riverside walks through woodland trails, spend afternoons on the tennis court or simply relax within the peaceful surroundings. The secluded setting makes the castle feel wonderfully private, yet Jedburgh and the wider Scottish Borders remain within easy reach.

The Log Lodge

Located separately within the estate, The Log Lodge offers additional accommodation for up to six guests, perfect for guests seeking extra privacy or flexible sleeping arrangements. Ideal for extended families, couples or support staff, this self-contained space complements the main castle perfectly.

The Lodge has a more relaxed feel, with its own kitchen living and dining area alongside three comfortable bedrooms and two bathrooms, and garden access. Bright interiors and practical living spaces make it particularly well suited to larger groups or guests wanting a quieter retreat while still remaining connected to the wider estate experience.

Deposit: Bookings are subject to a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the booking value plus applicable booking fees with the balance payable 70 days before the date of travel.

Accidental Damage Deposit: To maintain the highest standards in our properties, guests will need to pay a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £1,000 prior to their stay.
