Situated in the picturesque heart of Silchester, this luxurious, people-sized pig arc has been meticulously hand-built in Hampshire, showcasing craftsmanship and attention to detail, while providing inviting and cosy interiors. Should you wish to explore the area, you’ll be perfectly placed to explore the many walking routes and bike rides in the area, or you can venture further to the town of Tadley and the city of Reading.

Inside, you will find a plush king-sized bed, ideal for a restful night’s sleep after a day of exploration, while the en-suite bathroom features a spacious shower and sink.

For your convenience, the small kitchen area is equipped with a microwave, fridge, kettle, crockery, cutlery, glassware, and tea and coffee making facilities, perfect for crafting light snacks and bites. Meanwhile, the Smart TV offers entertainment for cosy evenings in.

To maintain your comfort throughout the year, each unit is fitted with air conditioning units that provide both heating in the cooler months and cooling during the summer heat.

The property does not have a private outdoor space; however, the on-site farm shop (open daily from 9am – 6pm) has seating outside where you can sit and enjoy drinks and snacks.

Check-in from Trough Farm Shop between 4pm – 6pm.

We plant a tree for every booking we make to help offset some of the carbon emissions generated by our stays.

Deposit: Bookings are subject to a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the booking value plus applicable booking fees with the balance payable 60 days before the date of travel.

Accidental Damage Deposit: To maintain the highest standards in our properties, guests will need to pay a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £50 prior to their stay. An advance payment as detailed in the booking summary can be made to waive this requirement.

The property is located on the owners’ farm estate in the Hampshire village of Silchester between Reading, Basingstoke and Newbury. The nearest pub is The Calleva Arms, which is just 1 minute away and serves first-class tipples and traditional meals.

The town of Silchester is famous for its Roman connections and was once known as Calleva Atrebatum. After the Romans left the town, it was never reoccupied so what remains of the walls and amphitheatre are some of the best examples of Roman defences in England.
