    If you can’t resist coastal views, nor super stylish homes, this sleek house near Southampton, wows with vistas of yachts and its luxurious interiors. Truly a dream home by the water, it’s a fantastic place for a sophisticated family get together. Along with six bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities, there’s a luxurious sunken hot tub and gym room indoors, as well as an outdoor lounge on the balcony which is a great spot for admiring the sunsets. Meanwhile, the gourmet restaurants by the marina, as well the picturesque village of Hamble that offers more places to eat and drink, are only a short walk away.

  • The space

    Shiny furnishings and luxurious fixtures, bright white decor, clean lines and nautical touches, all feature in this stylish and contemporary house. Lavish and luxurious features include the Sonos sound system that can be operated using the iPads in the kitchen and the main living area.

    On the ground floor there’s a fantastic kitchen with an island with a half circle dining area that doubles as the perfect place to enjoy cocktails together while dinner is prepared. Equipped with two electric ovens, a warming drawer, a gas hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, an instant boiling water tap, a coffee machine, a dishwasher and a glass washer, there’s everything you need to make self-catering easy.

    If you wish to dine more formally, there’s a trestle table and chairs which can be set up in the living room or outside when the weather is good.

    For sheer indulgence, there’s an indoor sunken hot tub, that’s the ideal spot to unwind whatever time of the day, while the gym room features a range of fitness equipment for a complete workout.

    Up on the first floor on the house, there’s a magnificent lounge filled with natural light that floods in through the large windows. It features coastal views, a curved sofa, a Smart TV and Disney+ and a large projector which comes down from the ceiling that will add plenty of atmosphere to your movie nights.

    Outdoor space includes a large balcony, accessed via glass doors in the lounge, which has lounge furniture and a BBQ – it’s a great spot for watching the sun set with a cool drink to hand. Plus, at ground level, there’s a lawned garden with sun loungers, ideal for catching some rays.

    The house has six bedrooms, each with en-suite facilities. On the ground floor there’s a bedroom with a king-size bed and a single bed, a bedroom with two sets of bunk beds, and two bedrooms with two single beds. All have their own en-suite shower room with WC. In addition, there’s a cloakroom with a WC.

    On the first floor there are two bedrooms with a king-size bed, each with an en-suite with a bath and a separate shower.

    Deposit: Bookings are subject to a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the booking value plus applicable booking fees with the balance payable 60 days before the date of travel.

    Accidental Damage Deposit: To maintain the highest standards in our properties, guests will need to pay a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £950 prior to their stay. An advance payment as detailed in the booking summary can be made to waive this requirement.

    Book with confidence: If your booking is affected by new Government travel restrictions which were not known at the time of booking, and you're legally unable to travel, we will arrange with the property owner to refund 100% of your holiday cost.

The neighbourhood

The house is located in the quaint village of Hamble (also known as Hamble Le Rice) that sits on the River Hamble estuary, on the outskirts of Southampton. Just a 3-minute walk away from the house is Port Hamble where you can get up close to the sparkling yachts in the marina and enjoy the high life at the gourmet restaurants and chic champagne bars.

Meanwhile, the centre of Hamble with its winding streets and historic cottages is very pretty, and only about half a mile on foot. Here you’ll find a convenience shop, plus a host of pubs and restaurants, the perfect place to try local produce, ale and specialist rum, while there are gorgeous riverside views and scenic walks too. During WWII it was the site of an aircraft training facility, but today it attracts yachters who moor at the marina or visit for sailing races and events.

A short drive from the house, or a good walk if you’re in the mood, there’s Hamble Common Beach which is great for a stroll to blow the cobwebs away. It’s dog-friendly too, so if you have your four-legged friend in tow, they will love a splash about.

Further afield you can visit the city of Southampton, Manor Farm Country Park, Netley Abbey, or take a ferry across to the Isle of Wight for the day, or the train to the New Forest.

Getting around

A car is not necessary for travelling to the property but is recommended for ease of getting around. There is private parking for up to 5 cars, plus unrestricted on-road parking outside the property and there is access to an electric charging point.
The local train station is in Hamble, but the nearest mainline train station is Southampton Airport Parkway where there is a taxi rank.
