Heron House is an incredible place for socialising with plenty of space to do so all together, or to split up into smaller groups and do your own thing without disturbing the others.

For those that love a bit of friendly competition, there’s an impressive games room with a pool table, foosball table, dartboard and board games. Meanwhile, there’s a snug with beams and wooden floors, as well as lovely leather armchairs, a Freeview TV and a wood burner that’s the perfect place to curl up and relax. If the weather is good, open up the French windows that open up onto the patio area which features a fountain.

For sophisticated and relaxing moments spent all together, head to the huge and magnificent sunroom. Here, a series of floor-to-ceiling windows let in lots of natural light as well as views of your landscaped garden and patio, plus the gardens and lake beyond. There is plenty of sofa seating, as well as antique coffee tables, and it’s perfect for meeting up together for coffee. There’s also a piano if anyone in your group would like to play a tune or two.

Meanwhile, the stylish kitchen has everything you will need to cook up a feast for everyone with ease. There are three ovens, a microwave, warming drawers, large induction hobs, a bottle cooler, a huge American fridge/freezer and a large kitchen island for prepping.

When you’re ready to eat, head to the elegant formal dining room where there is a large oak table that seats 16 guests and the walls are adorned with pieces of contemporary local art. If you prefer, you can cook and dine outside on the large terrace equipped with garden furniture and barbecues. It’s a very tranquil spot to relax. Or, you can take a stroll around the little lake.

Also on the ground floor is a bedroom that is accessible via a ramp up three steps from the entrance. It features a king-size bed and an en-suite with a shower cubicle and WC.

There is also the convenience of a ground-floor WC.

Up on the first floor, there are three more bedrooms. One has a king-size bed and an en-suite with a shower over the bath, one has a double bed with an en-suite shower room and one has a double bed and two singles with an en-suite shower room.

On the second floor are the remaining two bedrooms. One with a king-size bed, a bathtub with views and an en-suite with a shower cubicle and WC. The other has a double bed and two single beds, plus an en-suite with a WC and a shower over the bathtub.

There is a lockbox where you can access the key to the property for a self-check-in, however the owners live nearby and are available to offer assistance during your stay.

If you'd like to offset the carbon emissions from your trip get in touch and we can arrange this for a small fee.

The garden area is not enclosed and there are grounds with a small lake beyond, so please supervise children at all times.
