Powk Meadow Retreat is set in the tranquil grounds of a 250-acre working farm in the Herefordshire countryside. The 300-year-old Powk Meadow Farmhouse has two bedrooms, while Curious Calf and Big Sky Hideaway shepherd’s huts, both hand-crafted using 100% recycled materials from the farm, each sleep 2 guests. All three properties have a cosy wood burner and a wood-fired hot tub fed with water from the farm’s spring.
With far-reaching views over the fields, wild hedgerows that are a haven for wildlife and dark skies above, this is a very peaceful place to get away from it all. Enjoy the sights and sounds of nature from the twinkling stars to the fallow deer that roam freely here. Meanwhile, adorable farm animals include the inquisitive calves that like to graze in the apple orchard.
Located in Leominster, you will be well placed for walks along Offa’s Dyke, exploring cider mills and discovering the Black and White Villages trail. However, there are plenty of country walking trails and cycling routes that begin right from the farm too. Or if you simply prefer to take things really easy, pamper packages are available and perfectly complement the glass-fronted sauna and wood-fired hot tub at the farmhouse. For an extra treat, a private chef can be hired to cook up something special for a leisurely lunch or dinner.
