If you fancy exploring the area, there are lots of picturesque walking routes nearby, or you can take a short, 5-minute drive to Belvoir Estate.

This stunning pair of cottages are adorned with character and charm. Carefully designed by the Duchess of Rutland, the properties feature a fine balance of modern amenities and antique décor throughout.

The first cottage begins with an open-plan living/kitchen and dining space. The kitchen features all you will need to self-cater with ease, including an American fridge/freezer, a hob, an oven, a microwave, a kettle and two dishwashers. Meanwhile, the period-style dining room seats up to ten guests, providing the ideal place to wine and dine together. For the laidback evenings, nestle into the inviting sofas for a movie marathon on the Smart TV or for a livelier affair, make use of the bar area for an evening of chatter beside the open fire and your favourite tipple in hand.

There is also a games room with a full-size snooker table and a fully stocked bookshelf to use at your own leisure.

A long corridor leads to four beautifully decorated bedrooms, two with a double bed and en-suite shower room and two with twin beds and a bath with a hand-held shower. Within each room, there are tea and coffee-making facilities and fluffy robes.
Outside, you will have access to lake decking and a patio area with seating, a fire pit and BBQ, perfect for soaking up the views whilst dining alfresco.

The second cottage also begins with an open-plan living/kitchen/dining room. The well-equipped, country-style kitchen features an American-style fridge/freezer, an oven, a hob, a kettle, a microwave and a dishwasher. Gather around the eight-seater dining table for a delicious banquette or head to the inviting two-seater sofa for an evening of relaxation and chatter.

There are four beautifully decorated double bedrooms, each designed with earthy colour tones, sumptuous soft furnishings and fluffy robes. Two of the bedrooms have TVs and three have patio doors that open onto the private gravelled garden, all have an en-suite with a shower or a bath.

Outside, you will have a spacious courtyard with immediate access to the stunning grounds of Croxton Park Estate.

There is a key safe where you can access the key to the property for a self-check-in.

The owner can source a hot tub and organise Murder Mystery Dining packages throughout your stay.

Deposit: Bookings are subject to a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the booking value plus applicable booking fees with the balance payable 60 days before the date of travel.

Accidental Damage Deposit: To maintain the highest standards in our properties, guests will need to pay a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £500 prior to their stay. An advance payment as detailed in the booking summary can be made to waive the requirement.

Book with confidence: If your booking is affected by new Government travel restrictions which were not known at the time of booking, and you are legally unable to travel, we will arrange with the property owner to refund 100% of your holiday cost.

Meanwhile, there is a local village food store in the village of Croxton Kerrial or larger supermarkets in both Grantham and Melton Mowbray. Takeaways are also located Grantham and Melton Mowbray.

Just a 10-minute drive away is The Engine Yard, a three-acre retail village with an abundance of eateries, artisan shops and beautifully landscaped surroundings on the Belvoir Estate. Here, you can sip cocktails at the Balloon Bar, enjoy woodfired pizzas at the Fuel Tank or grab a freshly ground coffee from the Café. The estate is also surrounded by picturesque walking routes and cycling paths to enjoy.
