Amarylis Cottage combines five luxury, self-contained properties (Hollyhock, Mimosa, Muscari, Sunflower and Lotus Cottages) into one quirky place for 16 guests. A collection of suites and apartment-style cottages within the estate’s original stable block, Amarylis Cottage offers flexible accommodation with exquisite styling and original character. The grounds of the estate invite you to walk in the gardens, admire the sea views in the distance or visit the resident alpacas. Meanwhile, great days out include delightful beaches, the Wales Coastal Path and the charming town of Cowbridge.

Amarylis Cottage comprises five suite and apartment-style properties housed within the original stable block building of the estate.

3 x 1 Bedroom / 1 Bathroom / 2 Guests

Mimosa Cottage: Ground-floor suite. Features an open-plan living space with kitchen, dining area and a lounge, plus a separate bedroom with king-size bed and a shower room.

Hollyhock Cottage: First-floor suite. Features an open-plan living space with kitchen, dining area, lounge plus a separate bedroom area with king-size, sleigh bed. An en-suite with rolltop bath and walk-in shower is on a mezzanine level.

Muscari Cottage: Ground-floor, studio apartment. Features a king-size, low-level bed, mini kitchen (microwave, 2-ring hob and small fridge) concealed behind a Japanese-style cupboard and an en-suite shower room.

Sunflower Cottage

1 Bedroom / 1 Bathroom / 2 Guests

Perfect for two. Features a lounge with two sofas, a kitchen, a double bedroom with king-size bed and a conservatory/dining room.

Lotus Cottage

3 Bedrooms / 3 Bathrooms / 6 Guests

First floor, apartment-style cottage with mezzanine levels accessed via loft stairs. Features two king-size bedrooms (one with en-suite shower room and one with an en-suite bathroom) and a twin room with en-suite shower room.

The estate’s 9 acres of gardens and grounds are perfect for a quiet stroll, a picnic or admiring the sunset over the sea in the distance. You will also have access to a separate shared laundry room with a washing machine, iron and ironing board situated in the outer courtyard.

Deposit: Bookings are subject to a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the booking value plus applicable booking fees with the balance payable 60 days before the date of travel.

Accidental Damage Deposit: To maintain the highest standards in our properties, guests will need to pay a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £300 prior to their stay. An advance payment as detailed in the booking summary can be made to waive this requirement.

Book with confidence: If your booking is affected by new Government travel restrictions which were not known at the time of booking, and you're legally unable to travel, we will arrange with the property owner to refund 100% of your holiday cost.

The neighbourhood

The property is part of a country estate with a Georgian Grade II* listed Manor House and 9 acres of grounds. You are welcome to take a walk around, explore and ‘meet’ the resident alpacas, sheep, chickens and ducks.

Situated in the Vale of Glamorgan, the property is close to fantastic country and coastal walks including the short walk to the pebbly beach of Limpert Bay. From here there are spectacular views across the Bristol Channel to Exmoor and Minehead.
