An elegant period cottage with beautiful rural walks on it’s doorstep no better way to explore the stunning Isle of Wight. Close to the pretty seaside resort of Ventnor a perfect spot to explore the sandy beaches and take in the stunning views.  This modern stylish property has all the mod cons you will need including Italian limestone underfloor heating and a 6 seater state of the art hot tub with spa lighting and massage seats.

The space

As you enter the grounds through a private terrace you are greeted by the jacuzzi hot tub, set behind thick stone walls – follow the path to a secret garden there you will find wild flowers in bloom, seating area with BBQ and tree swings for any youngsters in your party. The gardens are really something to sit back and enjoy with terraces to both front and back of the property.

From the stylish entrance to this truly beautiful cottage you will be greeted by Italian limestone flooring with underfloor heating and quaint plantation shutters leading through to the luxury fitted and well equipped kitchen with its Rangemaster gas stove and hob, microwave, dishwasher,  American style fridge/freezer and Nespresso coffee machine. Meals are enjoyed in the bright and fresh conservatory area complete with stunning marble top dining table that comfortably seats six. 

Again furnished to a very high standard the living area has plenty of comfy seating around the log burner and a thoughtful kids corner with books, DVDs and little sheep stools.  For entertainment there is a large Smart TV, blue ray DVD player and family board games.

The property benefits from four bedrooms and three bathrooms.  To the first floor – master with king size four poster and bathroom opposite, a king size with views of the front gardens and a double with ensuite shower room.  To the ground floor there is single room with sleigh bed and ensuite shower and access to the garden.

The property if very pet friendly and allows two dogs in the unique dog snug, complete with a day-bed, moveable dog beds, a watering station and even a Smart TV. Upon arrival the owners provide a welcome pack for your dogs including, treats a toy and poo bags of course. Your furry friends will have freedom to roam around the ground floor with the Italian limestone making it easy to keep clean and keep their paws toasty. With an abundance of outdoor space around the property, including 3/4 acres of secluded and dog secure gardens and terraces, most behind thick stone walls.

Allergy advice and cleaning

When guests leave there is a robust and professional cleaning regime which means that everything is meticulously cleaned from top to bottom.  If you do have allergies, please take this into consideration before booking.

The neighbourhood

Rose Cottage is located on the outskirts of Ventnor on the Isle of Wight close to beautiful sandy beaches and stunning countryside. We recommend a walk to St Boniface down, it’s the highest point on the island and directly behind the cottage.  There are also lots of wonderful walks to be enjoyed down to the coastal paths and a literary walk around the village which proved inspirational for Charles Dickens when he stayed in the area.  

There is an abundance of local restaurants, shops and pubs to enjoy, something for all the family.

From the mainland you can get to the Island via three sea routes. Once on the Island, Rose Cottage is approximately a 30 minute drive from the three Island ports;

Deposit: Bookings are subject to a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the booking value plus applicable booking and service fees with the balance payable 60 days before the date of travel.
 
Cancellations: Cancellations between 60 and 10 days before check-in are subject to a partial refund based on the number of days before check-in. 
 
Book with confidence: If you are unable to travel due to Covid-19 travel restrictions please contact us and we will work with the property owner to transfer or refund your booking.
 
Security deposit: A security deposit of £250 will be charged prior to check in and returned following your stay.
