Alistair is a serial technology entrepreneur with a passion for luxury travel. He has holidayed in the UK since childhood and was increasingly frustrated at not being able to find the best accommodation in the sector. He founded Luxury Cottages to provide a platform to match discerning guests with the finest handpicked luxury properties and provide them with an exceptional level of customer service. 

Luxury Cottages - Michelle Sephton

Michelle Sephton

Managing Director and co-founder

Michelle is a successful business leader and entrepreneur in the luxury travel sector. She spent over 25 years at Elegant Resorts becoming Managing Director in 2009. During this time, she oversaw the company’s growth into an award-winning luxury travel brand and guided it through several changes of ownership. She stepped down in 2018 to act as a coach and mentor for travel businesses, she met Alistair along this road and has been part of Luxury Cottages from the get go.

Chief Commercial Officer and co-founder

Anthony has spent the last ten years working in travel with experience at several  of the leading cottage agencies in the UK. He also brings luxury travel experience from his time at Elegant Resorts  having headed up the Middle East operations. Prior to joining Luxury Cottages Anthony also worked for SuperControl a leading property management software company. Anthony also has his own portfolio of holiday cottages which he runs under the Escape Cottages brand.

Head of Guest Services

Roz joined Luxury Cottages having spent the majority of her career at Elegant Resorts and brings significant experience in operations and customer service. As head of our Guest services team Roz is responsible for all guest and owner communications and ensuring a seamless travel experience. As team principle she is our eyes and ears on the ground and has an acceptional level of attention to detail looking after anything our guests want or need. 

Luxury Cottages - Tim Maloney

Tim Maloney

Head of Business Development

Tim has two decades of experience in luxury travel from his time at Elegant Resorts. His primary responsibility is to communicate with owners and ensure they are getting the level of customer service they need. Tim’s experience in luxury travel provides an excellent understanding of what clients need and he works closely with the Guest Services team to ensure every detail is looked after. Tim is responsible for a portfolio of properties in the North West and also heads up our agency sales service.
