The Manor is a beautiful Georgian manor house set in two acres of gardens that once housed the family of Scott of the Antarctic. The Grade II listed building has been sympathetically restored by the owners with a fantastic eye for interior design including sumptuous soft furnishings and original artworks on the walls. This stunning property has everything you need for a secluded escape to the countryside including a heated pool, hot tub, gym and private lawned gardens to roam around. In fact you never need leave the grounds. Should you feel like exploring, with Bath and Frome nearby there's plenty to keep you occupied, making The Manor the perfect base to enjoy all the British countryside has to offer.
This property takes your breath away from the first moment you drive up the gravelled path. Opening the ornate front door you'll enter a grand entrance hall lit up by beautiful stained glass windows. Into the grandiose main hallway with its stunning columns, you'll get a real feel for the size of this property, which can comfortably accommodate several families or a large group of up to 18.
The Manor has plenty of space to entertain including a breakfast room and a separate large dining room complete with a long banquet table and log burner, providing a stunning setting for formal meals.
The large country kitchen is well stocked with appliances including an American fridge-freezer, Nespresso machine, microwave and Rangemaster oven, as well as two dishwashers for your convenience. There's a separate laundry room with washer and dryer and you even have a boot room downstairs with a fridge and dog shower to keep the mess to a minimum.
The large drawing room has several plush sofas to sink into next to the log burner. Complete with piano it offers a relaxing and comfortable area for guests to socialise. The separate living room includes a Smart TV, DVD player and plenty of books to keep little ones entertained. A host of family board games are also provided.
With accommodation across three floors there are plenty of private areas to escape to. The main winding staircase takes you up to a landing complete with original stained glass roof light. Off the landing there are five double bedrooms and a family bathroom with a bath big enough for two. The master bedroom has a large en suite bathroom, complete with shower and another extra large bath. You really get a feel for the size of the property as you enter each of the double bedrooms, with floor to ceiling sash windows that flood the space with light.
Downstairs there's a fully-equipped gym including treadmill, cross-trainer, rowing machine, bench, weights, yoga mats and flat screen TV and DVD player. There's also a games room with full sized pool table and Smart TV to keep you entertained. Outside you have a private area with hot tub, perfect for soaking up the sun in seclusion. The patio includes an ornate BBQ and pool side seating as well as benches so you can dine al fresco. The heated pool is open for use from May to September and perfect to cool down on a warm summers day.
The lawned gardens are beautiful to explore and include a pergola with seating and deck chairs so you can snooze in the afternoon sun. There's also an outdoor play area with tree house, swings, slides and climbing frame which is great for little ones. The gardens also house several water features with beautiful, ornate fountains and rockery surrounded ponds. Due to the size of the gardens and water features young children should not be left unattended.

The Manor can accommodate up to 24 at an extra charge of £45 per person per night including linen, towels, luxury gowns and toiletries. We can arrange luxury airport transfers to and from London and Bristol airports as well as luxury transport to Glastonbury during the festival week. A wide range of catering can also be arranged. The Manor is situated in a pretty village not far from Bath and Frome. Within a 5 min walk there is a highly rated gastropub as well as stunning country walks. Nearby you are within a 10 minute drive of Soho House group's Babington House and a short drive away from Glastonbury.
We recommend travelling by car so that you can easily explore the local area. There is private off-street parking for multiple cars at the property. The Manor is easily accessible from the M4 and M5 and there are a number of routes in each direction to get you into the heart of the Cotswolds as well as the nearby Mendip Hills.
